It's like a F-150 Engine and Expedition forum. They have used it for some time. It looks more modern, has more "stuff," but isn't easier to use. At least not yet. It's also why I'm kinda dreading this TB "update". It'll prolly take me to the time change to figger it out.
Yes and thinks. I agree. They kind of do their thing and if that's what you like it works and if it doesn't in some setting (i.e. with some bass), it just won't.but if you went in the amp direction you may find you’ve been missing something…….Ampegs can be limiting imho….
we just like to bitch….what’s Level 2?…When doing a migration, it is typical to bring up the new site on a different server or VM. And only then do you change the IP address and go live. This feels like they just ran the updater and said there you go. Hey, maybe they work for those guys up near Seattle. They tend to do that.
yeah kinda jesting a little….have done this and as with everything else, we’ll forget about it in 2 weeks….nice being adaptable…what’s more important (to me) is going on the journey of evaluating a new site with folks I know well remotely in cyberspace and reading related terms and how they apply……way cool…I'm not privy to all the conversations, but the software the old version was built on was pretty old. At some point maintenance moves from impractical to nearly impossible. When you upgrade, some features change, and you get the chance to add things people have asked for or you think they want. I'd give it a few weeks and see what you think then. And do let the devs/maintainers know your thoughts via the suggestions link at the top of every page. But, from a professional perspective, I highly recommend the following:
1. Unless it's actually broken or unusable, wait a bit to see if maybe you just need to get into the new rhythm of things;
2. Be specific. "I don't like the new format" is useless. "I would prefer it to be as like the old format as possible" is marginally better. "I liked the old color scheme better, and a bigger default font" is far better.
3. Provide detail. "When I used the "upload file" tool, as soon as I clicked on [Insert], my shoes caught fire and the picture rotated 90 degrees left" is far more helpful than "Upload files is broken and I'm going to sue".
4. If you can explain why you dislike something, it helps a great deal.
Doesn't work. That Ford Thunderbird comes off looking like a Corvette.
No, no, no. Where's that dagblasted "Get off my lawn" thingy when you need it.I'm not privy to all the conversations, but the software the old version was built on was pretty old. I’m as an eclectic listener as it gets. I’ll try anything. Well, almost anything. There is no place for Gangsta Rap. Sometimes I surprise myself about what I find I’m liking.I totally understand it when my friends are confused by some of the music I listen to. I am all over the map with styles I enjoy so I am thankful that there are so many varieties out there.
Adding images is easier. Granted, it just uses your built-in file browser, but still. It's like a F-150 Engine and Expedition forum. They have used it for some time. It looks more modern, has more "stuff," but isn't easier to use. At least not yet.
I’m IOS all the way for my personal stuff. It just works. iPad and iPhone. I don’t even have a Mac running now. No need. I can’t stand Windows 11. I only use it for work. Microshi* really hasn’t evolved since Windows 2000.Thank you.
I’m still trying to figure out how to get back to the dark view. The white background is killing my eyes.Update is harder to read on my iphone.
Yeah, I just picked your post to respond to the overall situation. I get the frustration levels. I've had to learn to take it easy on updates and give them time. I've been through a LOT of them over the years.yeah kinda jesting a little….have done this and as with everything else, we’ll forget about it in 2 weeks….nice being adaptable…what’s more important (to me) is going on the journey of evaluating a new site with folks I know well remotely in cyberspace and reading related terms and how they apply……way cool…

Checks all the boxes for me except one. it needs to be sparkling Pelham Blue.I really like that Bird! The large logo on the back side is freaking cool!

It will no doubt be just fine once we get used to it. I was using the beta some and it will just take a while to get used to what was second hand to us.
Something like that. A little class D amp or I was thinking a pedal that emulates an amp like Ken uses.Yes and thinks. I agree. They kind of do their thing and if that's what you like it works and if it doesn't in some setting (i.e. with some bass), it just won't.
I was looking at this from GC. Seems cheap for what it is. I don't need that many watts.
Any thoughts on these? I understand the ABMs are more clear/less warm than the cheaper MAGs. True in your experience?

I keep thinking about the EVO II 500 here in the classifieds. Not that I want to replace my Ampeg--unless something else works better for everything. I'm not that loyal to a brand. But maybe my little RM-300 will do the trick. Sure it nice and portable.
I did many software updates. I got to the point where if stuff didn’t work and the affected people ignored the pleading to test during the testing period…. Well then, I told them it was their own fault.Yeah, I just picked your post to respond to the overall situation. I get the frustration levels. If we don’t do anything else, we need a new Jeff pic. From what I understand it's still birthing itself, give it a couple days.
There will be basses to play, food to eat and drinks to drink in Seattle soon, regardless of what happens here

I’m not much into pedals.Something like that. A little class D amp or I was thinking a pedal that emulates an amp like Ken uses.
But then of course, you need to know which amp would work.
I’ve seen people raving over the cheap little Joyo amp pedals. They are guitar pedal afaik but I have heard of bass players using and liking them.
