I'm sure they sound good, but they look bitchin'! Chrome trimmed pu's always have a vintage vibe - what are they going for?
Right? I like having a “surf” bass for what I want to play. They’re $350.00 for the set. I have a 15% off coupon. So that puts it in the ballpark with all the other candidates. I’m shallow. And the look is important.

This is interesting - not Horace Panter but instead David Steele who played with The Beat, later of Fine Young Cannibals (another great band!) - his on-stage moves are unmistakable.

And here he's playing a T-bird shaped object... which I'll guess is a '60s Japanese clone. He's on fb and at one point I attempted to contact him to ask what it was but never heard back.

Pricy, but Novak pu's are over $250 @ ... let us know how they sound - I'm definitely interested.

I’m not confident enough in my skills to attempt to remedy it myself. The binding hasn’t split. Yet. The bass is a keeper. I got it new for half what new ones sold for a couple years ago. I want to move it into the rotation as one I love to play.
I bought a nice file for dressing fret ends from Lee Valley a while back. It makes it much easier to deal with stuff like that.

Are they Marklin rails? Yes. I was a train geek before kids. I’ve got a ton of stuff in boxes. One of the things I need to haves sitdown with @tbass58 about

Among my favorites.

This is my favorite Beat song.

That LGB, which is Lehman Grosse Bahn, or here in the states "G" or Garden scale, it's quite big, your Marklin is the same size (HO Scale) as my U.S. prototype models.
