Thunderbird Club

Wish I could have been there! Was so looking forward to being back in Seattle and seeing the gang again. At least I got a chance to jam with Geo. And many thanks to he and Dave (along with any others) that helped put the shirts together for the GTG. I just got mine a few days ago and it’s wonderful as are all the pics from the GTG. Can’t wait until next year, I hope to be there this time.

So, for 2025 are we flocking to Marshall’s mountain retreat (we could split a cord or two of wood for him), or maybe Dave’s Farm (I’m sure he could use some farm hands for a few days), heck if nothing better comes up I might even offer up my house here or where ever I end up by this time next year.

Thanks very much Chuck. Seemed like doing so would cause a back flow of quarks or leptons or other subatomic particles and mess things up. (Well maybe that's not exactly what would happen.)
picture a car with two engines somehow joined at a single transmission…..wouldn’t the engine that is “on” try to drive not only the car but the engine that’s “off” also?…..no bueno…..:rollno:

Gah! Boy clothes!

My apologies my dear Queen.

Any flight longer than 3 hours warrants a first class ticket for me. Flying first class from Cincinnati to Beijing or Singapore on a regular basis when working made all the difference in the world, easy peasy.
used to fly to S’Pore (from CA) for one hour meetings…then unless there was stuff going on in Kuala or somewhere nearby, jump on the next available flight back…..amazing what one can do when in their thirties..

Found this on the webz.
Supposedly an ‘06.
Maple fingerboard?
Was listed on Vintage and Rare, but was the only pic and no details other then the color and year.

Might be original, but pretty much any true luthier can replace a rosewood board with a maple board. Now if it had a maple neck as well, that would be a different story.

Makes sense. Another one of your really good analogies. I didn't know for sure or how, but was concerned the powered on amp would have something going through the cab to the other amp. Definitely κακός.

Gotta love that combo! Out of curiosity, do the two basses sound quite similar or are there significant differences? Ergonomically speaking, do you find one easier to play than the other?
Good question. I've always heard that the 60s NRs tend to have a little "hotter" pickups than the Reverses. Looks like I'll never own a NR to personally know. The closest person I know who has a 60s NR is still a few hours away.

I still do crap like that although not quite so insane. I may be going to Guam for work pretty soon. That's a long-ass trip. I plan to stay there for a few extra days and maybe spend some money and go to Palau for a bit.

Looks more like they painted the freboard. Kinda like the green one that was floating around for an insane price a while ago.
