Thunderbird Club

For tonight this will be the selection of gear:

View attachment 7018749

Gibson (with Gibson re-isssue pickups) tuned Eb Standard.

‘74 Precision (with Lollars) tuned D Satandard.

Had to place a mini boost pedal in front of my compressor. When I switch to the P, I can quickly engage to boost to ensure the P will hit the compressor equally. Therefore I can switch basses without making any adjustments and have the volume be roughly the same.

Gonna be a fun night at the Hotel Utah!
Would love to be there.

I gotta say - I scored getting this bass for the price I did. After cleaning it up and installing new strings - it's a killer playing/sounding Dano bass! Huge characteristic Dano sound and light as a feather. (6 lbs/ 3 oz) Well played but in GC overall. It will definitely be added to TSC rehearsals and live. We'll be playing at Pacifica's annual end of summer "Fog Fest" weekend (Sunday Sept 29th) and it'll debut there.

Love the B&W. Great look.

I’ll see you (and it) there. Bad Lemon will be on the bill with you, Sunday 9/29.
Awesome Chucky! As much as I would love that as I am managing the day - BL's* isn't on the list... ?

Edited: * I just realized Bad Lemons can be playing on one of the festivals stages on Sunday. There's at least three stages going on both days of Fog Fest weekend.

It is - as classic as they come and very shaken not stirred. My B&W Couch strap was a perfect compliment! It was initially used on my Teiscobrd which is one of my TSC basses, which lives at our rehearsal space.

That was not intentional, seriously, THAT was auto-correct. This band (Red Sun Ruins) is not as heavy as you might think. This band is blessed with good vocalists, with good vocal harmonies and strong songwriting. But yeah, we aim for heavy.
I just thought it an excellent opportunity. 😀

Interesting, someone noted the bridge didn’t look original on that Greco II. My guess is it was too shiny for a Greco of that age. I am going to guess you (George?) were correct. Same bass, same exact set of photos, two different brokers, one of these things is not like the other.
