Oh, carp!
I already had bass guitars that feel and sound right to me. I didn't spend the time trying to dial it in.I messed around some trying to get something from the VP that I liked through the SVT. Including jumping the two channels. No luck yet. It takes no effort to get the ‘13 to sound great through the SVT. And the Epi Blackbird too. I’ll take the VP home to the other house and play with it through the TT 800 and the Carbine. The latter has a built in voice setting that may work. We’ll see.
I've played a few Reverend's over the years and really liked them. I would buy the Thundergun in a heartbeat.Went to Music-go-round yesterday and sold my Ampeg V-4B "Classic" (same as my V-4BH, just a little older). It was my backup but with the ABM and little RM-300 there was no need to keep it in my office. Made a little money from selling it, so I was very happy.
Played one of these for the first time. No amp, however. The thing I discovered is that it's been a long time since I picked up a 5er. I was hoping they would have a Fender MIM fretless. But nothing. And yes, I played the Epi Thunderbird. Been years since I picked one of those up. Very nice feeling.

Love the sound and feel of my Reverend Rumblefish, just don’t play it much these days. In a case in the closet, means outa sight, outa mind.Bond Girls ex-lead player Andy played a Reverend. As far as their basses go, the Mike Watt signature "Watt-Plower" is one of their biggest sellers. It's gone through a few variations, road tested by Watt - this is the current iteration.

I need one of those. We live at the end of our road. There's not turnaround. The street just ends and is actually our drive. We offered to donate land for to the city for a proper cul-de-sac. They decided that that would be great if they could come way up into the front yard. In front of the house. I told him that's why we bought the extra property so there wouldn't be a road or traffic in front of and near the house. Just use the land we would donate over to the side which is plenty. In the city's astounding show of wisdom they turned free land down. We have tons of people come flying down the road to only jam on their brakes and try to figure out what to do. It's hilarious watching the number of people who can't turn a small car around. It's not funny how many drive in the yard in their attempts. Talked with city engineers about a sign saying there's no outlet (which many seem to think there is given the speed). Highly trained engineers said they can't put signs in our neighborhood because they are decorative and such signs need to be at the last possible location to turn around. I told them they put other signs on street light poles, just use one of those, and there are four possible locations after the one they did put up to turn around before people get to our property to turnaround. That was just too confounding for them and they couldn't find a thing to say. I also asked that since the city turned down our land offer, but the public use our property to turn around if they are going to help with the expense when time to pave, which caused additional dumbfounded silence. The drive is concrete but the first section on a rt angle is paved like the street and looks like the street is is not. Weird, but I won't waste more time explaining it.From another thread. I have people come down my well marked dead end street 'cos old maps and some GPS's show it goes through. It did-40+ years ago.

There are... were two bass-players named Flea???Grrr. I hate misleading headlines. “Flea, legendary bassist from Alton, dies”. Completely different Flea most people never heard of. Faigh! Fie on thee, foul wiener!
Nicknamed. But apparently so.There are... were two bass-players named Flea???
A Levantine sweet shop the size of a Costco. There is no “No Through Road” sign at the entry to the street?I need one of those. We live at the end of our road. There's not turnaround. That would make too much sense. Here a yellow sign saying “No Outlet” is commonly used. A lot of drivers don’t know what that means. Of course it would make too much sense to say “road ends 1000 feet no turnaround.”There is no “No Through Road” sign at the entry to the street?
Had to look that one up. I know the band, Judge Nothing. I had no clue the bassist was named Flea.Grrr. I hate misleading headlines. “Flea, legendary bassist from Alton, dies”. Completely different Flea most people never heard of. Faigh! Fie on thee, foul wiener!
Indeed. As my neighbor said who used to be on the city council (which is the whole county) says, if they do something it could be wrong, so they avoid doing and taking action if at all possible. The job for many is to keep their good paying job.Sounds like bureaucracy running smoothly...![]()
Stop. That's rude. At least post a scratch and sniff.
Yes, there is a "No outlet" sign right as you turn into the neighborhood. Which I explained it clearly not the "last possible option for turning around" once there, given that was their criterion, nor is is on an HOA approved "decorative" sign post. It's as you enter our neighborhood from a turn from the main road. Literally one mile from our house at the end of the road. Our road is a steep, uphill road that is very curvy (think drunk snake laid it out), but necessary due to incline. Once on our road you are turning in, avoiding the island, curving sharply as you head uphill. I suspect half of the people that live here wouldn't know it's there is asked. There is no good place on a curvy hill, but that is likely the worst (but likely fit a code of so many ft from___). Nor is it the last place to turn around (their definition) as there are several streets with turn-arounds before ours which dead-ends. Technically it is correct in that there is no outlet once you turn in. Logically it makes no sense given few likely notice it and by the time you get to us you are a mile from the sign. There is no “No Through Road” sign at the entry to the street?
Thank a lawyer.Indeed. As my neighbor said who used to be on the city council (which is the whole county) says, if they do something it could be wrong, so they avoid doing and taking action if at all possible. The job for many is to keep their good paying job.
Whatever happened to that tech anyway? PC Mag touted it as coming soon back in 1995 or thereabouts.Stop. That's rude. At least post a scratch and sniff.
Yikes! Hopefully there's not too much collateral damage.
