Cool I saw LK in the late '80s. A friend who was a local Cincinnati radio DJ and I were invited to a small private hang with him at a local recording studio where he spoke & played a solo performance.

I had to look it up, but at that time Henry Hirsch would have been his bass player.

saw him at the Bataclan (which got bombed years later) in Paris in 2002 and they were LOUD…..Daley on bass…SEXY AZZ show…..something about Parisian hippy chicks….

too bad David Byrne gets so spastic sometimes, “Stop Making Sense” came on last night and my god can that band swing….

I saw them at least four times, the first couple at the Paramount in Seattle when they were touring "Secret Treaties" and "Agents of Fortune" '75-'76.
They were on fire live, and the music was some of the very best they would ever write or perform, the show in '75 at the Paramount was recorded and bits of it were used one their live "On your feet or on your knees" album. "Secret Treaties" is a record that I'll never grow tired of, still have my tattered vinyl copy!

Speaking of "SEXY AZZ show…..something about Parisian hippy chicks…." I went to a show at my favorite SF venue - The Great American Music Hall in the late '90s - Jai Uttal & the Pagan Love Orchestra. OMG... the place was oozing with... love -

Last Friday's reunion concert was a one-off exercise. Especially for that unique occasion, guitarists Frank and Jeff had arranged all the songs for two guitars. Because originally, Superfloor was always a band with only one guitarist. That worked out wonderfully well. With some two-part pieces here and there and fiery guitar duels.

Nice! Looks like a 2 x 210AV cab stack - what amp is that?

20 years ago we flew to Florida for a "tour" in the USA. It was a complete fiasco that cost us a lot of money.
We're not in a hurry to do that again. ;-)

Actually I quit playing in bands 7 years ago. The first thing I did when I quit was finish the Gibson Bass Book that I had been working on for several years. And then picked up speed with building bass guitars. That is my main focus (in my spare time) now. I rarely play bass anymore. Except for the occasional noodling on a new Brooks bass.

My wife Floor (our lead singer) still sings very frequently. She has several bands. One of them is a band called Stapled. They do a tribute to Mavis Staples and the Staple Singers. But even with an excellent band like that it is very hard to get decent gigs. The day after the reunion gig she had a gig at a festival. Only to find out they had to play in a gymnastics hall, without a stage and without stage lighting... Horrible.

She sure has the pipes!

I met a guy in a bass specific shop here that's no longer in business. He told me he didn't play out anymore because it was being a mover with bad hours and worse pay. He had a point.
