Yes indeed, very sad news. I had the good fortune to see him a couple of times and enjoyed reading his autobiography. He brought a unique and unconventional approach to the bass. I have tried to imbibe a little of his style in my own playing. Fly on Phil.

I know you told me once before, but darned if I can find it with the TB search engine. What is your go to string for a bass that you’ll be slapping on frequently?
I’ve found what I consider to be a good bass for modding, nice bones, stable neck, strong Stingray style pup that can coil split.
RS66, Superwounds or DR High Beams…
