You're either into her or not. I dig her, for me there's a lot to like... I also am ok with admiring her from a distance, she's got some heavily intimidating vibe that goes with that great mantel of up-in-your-face sexy.
But, Running Up That Hill is one of my favorites from the 80s. That and "Don't Give Up" with Peter Gabriel. I like her voice.

My brother got into her when he was going to Art Center in Pasadena and convinced me to give her a chance. It was an acquired taste for me. But I like her and spin some of her discs from time to time.

You cats are all a bunch of busy bees as usual! Very good...
No T bird news, but I'm swapping my Cassady for a Bass VI next week. I think I'm a solid-body guy, but need some new musical angles. I've been playing fretless, and that's my new favorite- it may be time for an NR fretless in the new year. But the Bass VI may well serve for recording, and might be something for an original project. Maybe a duo with just drums- like Jon Spencer's Blues Explosion or Flat Duo Jets, only bass-centered.

Knowing you (as well as one can without meeting in person),I suspect you’ll likely have a Cassidy again at some point. I like how you ride the wave wherever it takes you. Keeps things fresh.

It has been a problem, it's caused me remorse... But I tend to feel burdened by having too many things. I do like my old converted fretless, my bird and the Heckinhecker though, and play them.
I have never been that reliable for holding onto things, for their own sake.

The Bass VI is calling though, gonna take a run at something a little divergent. The first stringed instrument I ever played was a white Strat into a Fender amp. That was a cool sound, and the approach is another animal altogether. But it was deep and punchy... Hm...

I do like the Cassady, what it is. Another day.
Also looking to next year's gtg! It'd be fun to actually meet some of you guys!

I can totally relate.
Takes a while to settle in on instruments for some of us.
For now I’ve settled in on 3 basses that work really well for me, albeit not gigging, I’m happy with them.
It’s the amp i seem to be always on the hunt for.
That said I’ll start fresh amp wise in Germany.
There will be so many choices and I’m certainly not in any rush.

That might be an interesting experience, I suppose you might find things that aren't as popular here. ?
Got a SansAmp or similar to bring along? Just to keep a baseline in your back pocket?

So I haven't left The Earthmen yet, I was a little warped at our BL, but when talking it over with my wife, who's lived here all her life, my attention was brought to the fact that the scene here is somewhat different than the one I grew up in (Miami). It's more social in a sharing way. Which, for my idea of what a band is, doesn't work so much!
Only a band that was very established would bring another group up for a mini set, or have someone up to sit in for a couple songs. Bands striving for their place on the scene would never do that. There was always a friendly rivalry between bands- like walking in the club in your number and going to stand right in front of your rivals mid-set, arms folded, stone faced. Waiting for them to blow a clam! 😂 They'd see you coming, of course, lol.

Here they drag each other up and play a tune they can belt or blow a solo on. Different ethic. Not mine, I prefer the heavy thing, the competitive thing. I think it's a good tension, and then after you make them screw up you buy them a beer and have a laugh. 😁

So anyway I'm an Earthman for now. In ways we've gotten pretty good, and I can get us to play tunes I think we'd be good at, and that's been working out. I just need a project of my own, finally...Bass VI and a drummer. I need a drummer. Maybe another bass player...

Enough about me, lol.

I don’t, just gonna start over again.
When I get to it, I’ll most likely get an amp with a headphone out till I get a cab.

Thanks Jeff, always generous with your praise! I will say the same for you, based on the rare clip or three you've posted here. I'm not the only one who wants to encourage you to get yourself back into a vehicle for that healthy and edifying inclination.
