That’s nuts you had to do that. No excuse for it in the age of Mono Price tuners with true bypass for about $20.00.

Agreed, the phone plug hasn't been used in Telecom for 50-60 years, but musicians are stuck with it!I'm disappointed that in this day and age of AI and signal processing, we still use phono jacks ftom the late 19th century.......

That Furman power bar is great for filtering noise from AC. I never gig without it.
1/8 phone jacks have the same problems as 1/4", and are even easier to disconnect accidentally.

Doesn't look like it could be pedal board-friendly, though, with how bulky those connectors are.
Those don't solve the space utilization problems, but certainly connect better - for pedal interconnects and such. But you don't want that connected to the instrument or other end of the instrument's cord. Having the plug pull out can save destroying the jack, ripping the jack out of the instrument / amp, yanking the instrument out of your hands, pulling an amp over. There are right angle, mini versions, and smaller boots, but I was thinking in general terms. Packing your pedals with side jacks tightly on a board would need something else.
Moral of the story: if you're after a compact board, avoid side jacks when possible.
I'm too clumsy to operate a board with the pedals packed together tightly anyway. Singing at the same time doesn't help

Yeah, I totally get that. Foot switch toppers really help in those situations, both visually and tactilely.
