Not so far fetched. I saw an ad for a bass somewhere with it built in. Primarily for using earbuds/headphones. Wireless tech may be there already. I never could have imagined any of the stuff we have now when I started playing in 1970.Bluetooth..

So how many? I’m positive Sharon told me. But I’m old and forget. Anyway, congratulations to you both.Thanks, Donnie!
Bluetooth has much latency for performanceBluetooth..
That it is! And how many wonderful years will you be celebrating?This Friday is an excellent day for a birthday. Or anniversary.
Thanks, but at my age it’s probably best to wait until the actual day to congratulate, never know when the last day will be.Early Happy Birthday.
I guess it’s feasible, the entire hifi sound system in my house is on Bluetooth, speakers all over the place and no wires connecting anything.Bluetooth..
Wireless tech is there, but bluetooth isn't the protocol to use due to latency. I looked into it before getting my wireless in ears. (I was thinking about getting bletooth earbuds)Not so far fetched. I am really impressed with the Bluetooth Audio Technica turntable up at the mountain house. Irv has a point though about performance latency between a bass, pedals, and an amp. But I’m sure it’ll get there at some point.That it is! And how many wonderful years will you be celebrating?

Trust me - not that valuable!Dog gone it, Miles. I appreciate that, but be responsible and don't trust something that valuable to FedMess. Still waiting.....

47! A good start!So how many? I’m positive Sharon told me. But I’m old and forget. Anyway, congratulations to you both.

The lowest Bluetooth latency I can find referenced is ~40mS (milli-seconds) but it's not clear if that's still high resolution digital data. Older Bluetooth is often 200mS latency - one-fifth of a second, which is nowhere near real time. A performance can be impacted by 10mS or a bit less.Wireless tech is there, but bluetooth isn't the protocol to use due to latency. I looked into it before getting my wireless in ears. Absolutely! You got married when you were in junior high? 40 for us last June.47! A good start!
The delay through an analog pedal chain[1] of, say, 8 pedals is negligible. Make them all digital and it could be a few milliseconds. If they're modeling pedals, add more. At that point it's possible the delay could be enough to mess with you, but how many people use many modelers in a row? But add Bluetooth between those pedals and you have at best 280mS just in delays on the pedal board.The lowest Bluetooth latency I can find referenced is ~40mS (milli-seconds) but it's not clear if that's still high resolution digital data. I proposed in 4th grade, but not to Sharon. Alas, Tobie's dad hauled his wife and kid off to Japan early in 5th grade. I tell myself that's because he was in the army, and not to get his daughter away from the weird geek, but who knows? She and I ended up happily married - just not to each other.Absolutely! wasn't being serious as a 2.45GHz printed antenna is roughly the size of a female 1/4" receptacle......aside from any "advertisement" mode and the incredibly congested 2.45 band, at 25mbps latency should not be an issue even if over sampling at 98kHz right?...The delay through an analog pedal chain[1] of, say, 8 pedals is negligible. [1] Not counting pedals that intentionally introduce delay.
That's why you can't use Bluetooth earbuds as in-ear monitors.The lowest Bluetooth latency I can find referenced is ~40mS (milli-seconds) but it's not clear if that's still high resolution digital data. The technology is there. The Line6 G30 between my bass and pedalboard usually works great*, and some people also go wireless between their pedalboard and amp.I am really impressed with the Bluetooth Audio Technica turntable up at the mountain house. I'm not keen on how the sockets are organized on the Furman. This is what I use which as you can see has 3 in opposition to the other three. It allows for the use of both straight and angled grounded plugs and has wide-enough side-to-side spacing to accommodate wider adaptor plugs side by side .That Furman power bar is great for filtering noise from AC. I never gig without it.
I have the G30 and it is great. Except for the cheap body/battery door. Easily rectified using a Neo-tech holder.The technology is there. The Line6 G30 between my bass and pedalboard usually works great*, and some people also go wireless between their pedalboard and amp.
*last night in a cramped venue, our sound guy put his mixing console with a wireless AP right beside my pedalboard and it made my G30 cut out. But it's not like I had anywhere to go, so I plugged my bass in to my board.
LOL - that about covers the last week.Holy cow finally caught up. Only 47 pages
Hapy birf-annaver-moving day-new bass-new amp-new cow or whatever else I missed!
@TBird1958 hows the snoz?
