Man, I don't know why this thread doesn't show up on my dashboard but I am so behind on it as I only visit 1-2 times a week and it is almost impossible to catch up. lol Anyway, I traded a couple basses I wasn't using towards a 2022 Reverse togo with my 2021 Non Reverse.

Nice G&Ls.

I have been trying to decide on a recording rig for what seems like forever. Last time I looked was this time last year. All I want is something with at least one instrument input, a mic input, and usb-c connectivity to my iPad where I’ll rely on Garage Band to start. Where I get confused is powering the device while also charging the iPad. Any ideas what to get that will do that? I’m a former early tech adopter turned Luddite. My motto now is KISS.
Our Paul is getting really good at our rehearsal space recordings. A goal for TSC's for 2025 is writing/learning more of his original songs and recording them in-house. It's a good way to flesh-out a song to see where it needs this or that before going in to a Get Reel Productions session.

As an example, here's Pauls instrumental "Fire In the Hole" recorded at our rehearsal space and later professionally by Rob at Get Reel. The Get Reel recording is still better, but Pauls recording is very good all things considered.

Your 300 PS looks pristine. 🔥 ❤️ 👌

Are T-Birds heavy? Neck heavy they may occasionally be but I've never really thought them as weighty basses whatever the version was. My '76 was pretty light and the custom made non-reverse I have is very light. The Epiphone VP doesn't seem particularly heavy either.
Just wondering because of the thread on the page...
Yes I was just there reading how heavy and muddy they are. Neck diving and for one bloke irredeemable due to have Gibson written on it.

Same rubbish being recycled over and over, except for a few posts.

A complete nervous breakdown having to do with computers and such. I had CPM computers, built and upgraded PC boxes for thirty years, and then just stopped. Couldn’t stand it anymore. That’s why me and IOS are best buds. Simple and does the job.
my bud an over 40 yr tenure Boston Edison mechanic retired the day after he was told he had to now keep track of spares via excel lol......some get lucky......

Nice conversation, Border. Those were really hot basses years ago. (Think Loverboy, Ross from Journey as well for a short time, among others.) It's been a really long time since I've played one, but do recall it was an odd experience. Not that it couldn't be acclimated to, just that it would feel odd for a while. Nearly impossible to play sitting down as I recall. Those that used them made very good use of them.
nice basses, Ned Steinberger patented a bunch of stuff on those including a fold out to accommodate playing while sitting......a joy to transport, great sounding, unfortunately (for me) they feel sterile (clinical?) like one can't really sink their teeth...

I don’t find any of mine particularly heavy. The ‘15 is around 7 pounds, 10 ounces. Most are in the 8 to 9 pound range.

For all that, the resale value is good, especially if it has Gibson on the headstock. I probably waited too long to decided I wanted one. I'm perfectly happy with my Fenderbirds and VPs, but still, that logo has cache. Reach out to me if you run across one at a reasonable price...

Do you want a Reverse or a Non Reverse? There was an ‘01 Reverse that I saw somewhere the other day. @Gaolee on here swears the pickups in his are made with pixie dust. Can’t recall where it was listed.

I really prefer reverses, but a non-reverse at the right price might do it. There is one locally in the green, the finish has cracks in it, I seem to remember that being an issue?
