Thunderbird Club

I’ve converted my top 6 into a bakers dozen. Notes: I considered Paul Kelly as a solo act otherwise he is in there, and The Seekers are the only non rock n roll / pop band included, but they did very well with their brand of folk, folk pop.

1 AC/DC

2 Cold Chisel

3 Midnight Oil

4 INXS

5 Crowded House

6 Bee Gees

7 Little River Band

8 The Easybeats

9 The Angels

10 The Seekers

11 The Saints

12 The Divinyls

13 The Living End

Just in case of doubters, here is a link to The Seekers achievement page

You don’t have to convince me! I loved their music. Saw them on tv more at least once. I believe more.

Good evening Thunderbird loving sisters and brothers. I hope all had a relaxing Christmas holiday. The wife and I went to a friend's place for dinner. Gone seem to be the days of driving over a pass (Snoqualmie) to spend the holiday with relatives.
I have occasionally been talking with this older gentleman who used to play in a band here in town about basses and bands in general. He mentioned having a bass he used but hadn't played in years, I believe with an eye of selling it to me. I rather expected an early 70s Jazz or P, and was quite surprised when he brought out this Steinberger. I didn't get to play it through an amp. It seemed, and felt most unusual. Any have any familiarity or experience with these? I am not certain it was for me, but didn't get to play it. I will see him again next week.
I hope everyone has a great relaxing weekend.

I’ve seen/heard them played a few times but never played one.

Nice conversation, Border. Those were really hot basses years ago. (Think Loverboy, Ross from Journey as well for a short time, among others.) It's been a really long time since I've played one, but do recall it was an odd experience. Not that it couldn't be acclimated to, just that it would feel odd for a while. Nearly impossible to play sitting down as I recall. Those that used them made very good use of them.

In Nashville today, might try to hit a couple of guitar stores to pick up a four string souvenir. If ya’ll see any good deals in the neighborhood feel free to post them.
Gruhn's might still have a Reverse II. Seemed to be in fantastic shape.... Just a thought.

Then go eat at Jack's (Not necessarily on Broadway.)

Man, I don't know why this thread doesn't show up on my dashboard but I am so behind on it as I only visit 1-2 times a week and it is almost impossible to catch up. lol Anyway, I traded a couple basses I wasn't using towards a 2022 Reverse togo with my 2021 Non Reverse.

Cool! Is the hardware color mismatch on the reverse from the factory?

I've looked at those and also considered the version with a body. There is a TB thread on Steinberger Spirits:

Nice! Two birds, two different pickup sets, and lots on tone options.
