I'd definately get the Ripper, RD, & Grabber if we made them to original designs (with a few upgrades and mods) But i'm most certainly, getting my hands on a flying V bass!! That's perhaps one dream i still haven't acquired (a pure white with black pickguard & chrome hardware) i'd also get a 79 bird in all white if we owned/ran gibson bass line

So my parts arrived.

Out of the four nickel tuners I ordered, only one was actually nickel, the other three were chrome. Yeaaaah mate. Emailed best bass gear back to try and fix the situation. I would just get a chrome one to complete the set, but side by side with te nickel, chrome looks not quite as fitting. So annoying! But that's how the cookie crumbles....will have to wait for more to come.

Supertone went on without a hitch though! So easy

Not too sure about the Ripper and Grapper myself, althought I kinda dig the pointed headstock of the Grapper... Had a bandmate many years ago who had an origianl RD Standard in Ebony - Nice bass, but back then ('79/'80), I wasn't too hooked on it, as I felt it was way too big, bulky and heavy with a sound that didn't impress me much. But back then I was a Ric fanatic, and loved my 4001.

Today things are different, and I would love to have an RD Standard in ebony... :)

A '76/'79 (or equivalent reissue) bird in classic white would be very nice to have and maybe a white long-scale SG/EB-3 bass as well.
The V is kinda cool, but I'm not digging the shortscale, though. Currently there's an Epi V bass in my local classifieds - pretty much matching your description:

I have the G3 "tribute" bass and it's pretty friggin awesome. Scored it on the cheap, too.

So, my drummer did some testing to see what would work for stripping the body of the project T-bird. He calls me today to tell me that he only had a small amount of stripper on hand so he put in on one of the wings and let it sit. He tells me that it looks like Epiphone painted over a burst finish to make the Goth Bird. He said he only had a small area with the black removed but would be taking pictures as he went along. I'm interested to see what is actually under the flat black now.
