Thanks, I did. Which amps? 2x12 is fun, but I’d love to try 2x15!Also running daisy-chained combos. I've had a lot of amps, but this actually works really well for me
mine are 150w and 15" each
As for basses i try to just rotate a different one each time I play. Sometimes I have favoritism
Have fun at your services!
Thanks Irv.Happy Birthday Marshall!
There’s a lot of ignorance around who played picks and fingers.Did I quick Zeppelin listening sessions as I tried to make sure of the bass sounds of the several tracks and again noticed how great sounds there are. "Out On The Tiles" for example: a clean DI-signal in the middle and a raunchy cab sound spread out to the other side (facing Page's guitar). Or "Four Sticks": Telecaster with a pick through the Acoustic for the riff part and Jazz Bass with fingers most likely DI'd for the other section.
I also noticed how many songs had him playing with a pick. Not that it was surprising to me but I recently got told off when I commented on some instagram Jones post how it was not strange (to me) to see him with a pick and also mentioned that I'd say he used pick about half of the tunes they did (just a rough estimation). I was told "I was not informed" and Jones came from "old school" and used mostly fingers. I could mention quite a lot "old school" pick players (especially from the session world to which Jones belonged to also) but left it at that.
Drop on by. Sunn Concert Bass into matching 215, Sunn 200S into matching 215, Rumble 500c with 115 extension, or just have some old school fun with the B-15. We can even run a splitter and run a 415.Thanks, I did. Which amps? 2x12 is fun, but I’d love to try 2x15!
I doubt we'll have any other video from this show, we had a great time......
I had Frank shot this from my side of the stage because as we all know the bassist usually gets cut out of band videos.
First song.
I rotate among my Thunderbirds. My Fenders rarely get touched. I have a clear #1, the ‘15. All my other Thunderbirds are my #2. I tend to pick up the BaCH NRs a lot. The necks on my two are amazing. Also running daisy-chained combos. I've had a lot of amps, but this actually works really well for me

They don’t fold up well to fit standard envelopes. Or at least they only “fold” once.Couldn't get Mike to just send the pickguard?
Thanks Andy! I thought we had just celebrated your birthday. But my memory ain’t what it used to be and I was questioning myself. Not me. My birthday is in November. But Happy Birthday @MCF and @Instagator

Happy Bday Marshall!
How did the cross examination go?Thanks Andy! I thought we had just celebrated your birthday. But my memory ain’t what it used to be and I was questioning myself.
Yep. And people don’t understand that Carol Kaye was the bassist on so many of the most popular songs of the sixties. She was all pick, all the time. There’s a lot of ignorance around who played picks and fingers.
I impeached myself. How did the cross examination go?
I really like this version of the band. He is a really good drummer.
Ampegs. One is a ba-115v2, the other is some much earlier combo with a stainless faceplate. Thanks, I did. Which amps? 2x12 is fun, but I’d love to try 2x15!
If it wasn't her in that studio, it was Joe Osborn. Also all pick all the time...Yep. And people don’t understand that Carol Kaye was the bassist on so many of the most popular songs of the sixties. She was all pick, all the time.
I really enjoyed meeting Pedro last summer.Pedro is really a character aside from being a good drummer, he and his wife join Frank and I at the 909 often, they are both very nice people - He wants the band to tour Argentina someday! Last night was a great show for us, good turn out and we really hit it. Playing '70s stuff upfront was fun, with "Red Skies" being a hard break into the '80s, when we got to the guitar solo at the end of "Let's Go Crazy" our guitarist, Rachel broke it out by playing the opening of "Oh Canada", crowd went nuts! Folks were singing along to "Rain" and "Sanctuary" ended the set with "We're not gonna take it" be joined by the headliners singer and his daughter onstage - easily one the most memorable shows in the 21 years of the band.
