Cool band but they need a bass player.
Epi's are just a vintage Gibson Thunderbird knock off.
A fantastic knock off I might add.
I played the burst today with SIT Power Steels. The thing can be a beast. I normally play pretty light, but really dug in once and the Ampeg tube head responded with some fantastic compression and break up. A lot of expensive basses would love to have sounded that good.

It's hard to get a picture that actually shows how beautiful the color on these basses is, my blue one is disappointing in pics, so pretty in person.

Not sure how I feel about the purple sparkle tbh. I like it but I'm not sure if I like it more than any of the other colors they're doing.

Because I started playing in a piano/drums/bass group doing all instrumental cocktail music, I played strictly fingers. Once I began playing in R&R bands, I'd use pick or fingers depending on the tune and what kind of 'punch' I wanted(this was on a Gibson EB-3, Mudbucker pup only). So for roughly the past 50-ish years, I alternate. Not tune by tune, but by which is more in keeping with the style of the original. IOW, a pick would be inappropriate for "Misty".Joe O. was old school and would have never played with a pick. I read an article on the interwebs.
(There, I wanted to be "one of those guys" once.)
