Thunderbird Club

Moved mine on the VP. Put a black pickguard screw in the neck heel hole.
Could not get along with the face tilt, especially when performing:
I was fighting it when walking across the stage.
It also FELT awkward: changed the way that it hangs from the strap, pointing the neck away from my body . On the upper bout,
It brings the plane of neck back towards me across my (ample) midsection.

Even though it did exasperate the neck dive:
Light tuners, that required no drilling and 20.00 of Tungsten weights in the cavity countered that effectively.
Personal geometry has a lot of influence on Thunderbird behavior.

had forgotten how C O O L these things are live....:hyper:

Oh, yeah. And Mountain Jam (Allman Brothers) is even longer. Takes up two full sides of the Eat a Peach album. Some live versions are even longer. It's great to listen to with headphones/buds and hear each drummer in one side.
Speaking of Mountain jams, there’s “Nantucket Sleighride”. Two sides of the double record album Twin Peaks, although my favorite is a single side of The Road Goes Ever On.

Hi,
Has anyone replaced the stock Wilkinson tuners on the Epi Vintage Pro?
What model?
I'd like something more vintage-looking (and lightweight, too).
I've spotted the Gotoh GB640s, but would they fit without too much trouble ???
Here is an old post re those tuners. Recall that early ‘17 VPs had the larger tuners. It looks like that is what this poster had.
