I’ll have what he’s having.

After the bubblegum of the Valentines - yes all in pink I think I remember - but before AC/DC was Fraternity, a kinda hippy band. Bon on lead vocals and recorder (good practice for the bagpipes!). NB later on Jimmy Barnes did a stint in Fraternity, and I think his elder brother John “Swannee” Swan as well, on drums maybe.
Fraternity toured the UK and some of the trip became fodder for Bon’s AC/DC lyrics “while I’m in the band room drinking with the guys, she’s working 9 to 5” etc. It was the usual starving band trip. But he did meet Brian Johnson over there.

Fraternity lived all together on a farm outside Adelaide. Bon met Ozzy when Black Sabbath toured and he brought him back to the farm for a drink and probably other things.
The bass player Bruce Howe was the boss, and I think Jimmy Barnes left Cold Chisel temporarily in order to see life in a disciplined band. 10 years later when Jimmy brought out his first solo album he brought Bruce Howe into his band for the tour, along with Mal Eastick on lead guitar from another Adelaide band Stars.

Yeah, I’m staying quiet on that part.

I'm referring to my 26 year old Subaru, not my sex life. 😺
It's a '90 trip gig today, all SWR and the Jackson.

Old, ugly and slow, just like it's owner.
