Thunderbird Club

He (Churchill) was opposed to Dragoon, and wanted to land troops on the Istria Peninsula and go through Trieste. Dragoon was a successful landing with low casualties and a fairly rapid advance up the Loire valley.

Thank you for sharing.
That color appeared to be impossible to catch on camera. It is a candy finish. Silver metallic > Large flake layer > transparant Cobalt Blue (greenish blue / teal).

I'm not sure if I understand the Churchill connection?

Chucky had made a post about the Battle of Gela (Sicily) and that fact that Palermo was one of the most conquered cities in Europe. I had responded noting Churchill's desire to fight etc., to keep us on course ( a little!) I posted your fantastic Bird.

I had a blue 225 in a ‘71 Dodge Demon. If it had only been a 318 or better, 340, I possibly would never have let it go.

Had a blue 318 in a ‘73 Duster.
I think also a red 318 in a ‘68 Coronet 440.

I seem to recall the 318 in my ‘76 Ramcharger was also blue.

As much as a Mopar fanboy I am, I traded off the Ramcharger in the very late ‘80’s and didn’t own another Mopar until I got my 2011 Charger in 2013.
68 Coronet (273- Red: updated to blown 426 hemi)
71 Duster (318 Blue)
68 Valiant 4 door (225 slant Blue)
72 Satellite (360 Red)
(Insert VW for a long while)
2002 Sebring convertible
94 Dodge Dakota LB 4x4 (3.9L Magnum V6)
(Various imports)

Then just before this
06 Magnum SRT 8

I had a 71 Plymouth GTX that had an orangish red 440.

Not that I have any interest in a bright red bass of any style, but, I wonder what a realistic price is for a, what I assume is a rare color, 2018 Gibson ‘bird, including consideration that it’s owned by someone that someone might be a fan of.
They liquidated them at $1799.00. My “girlfriend” Nikki has one and has toured with it extensively. IMO, paying anything above $2500 is a joke. That guy has quite the ego. I wouldn’t offer more than $1799.00 for his. I don’t care who he is or who he played with. I’d pay a premium for Nikki’s though.

They liquidated them in ‘18 at $1799 as Henry was being shown the door. There were like five of them that popped up on the Bay. I came close to buying one.

…my point, “someone” might pay some extra for “his” Thunderbird, just like you might pay some extra for hers. I wonder what would be realistic.

I personally wouldn’t pay a lot extra for a bass owned by any of the bass players I’m a fan of. Maybe a little bit more than I thought it was worth, but not a whole lot..

I could see this custom B C Rich Thunderbird he used to own selling for a higher price. A custom, rare model bass, built for an artist, actually used in a video would have more value to most fans, but nowhere near this high of a price. This seller has clearly overpriced this one by a large margin.
Pardon Our Interruption...

Couldn't see paying that much either - for any guitar or bass. The only bass or guitar I might spend a third of that on would be a flame top Hamer USA explorer bass or guitar- Or perhaps a Warwick Stryker with a blonde maple top-
