Oddly enough, I prefer the grey and subdued skies compared to bright and blinding light.
This time of year it's a bit grim, today was shades of dark gray and rain plus cold. I'm not looking forward to standing on the platform and waiting for the train tomorrow morning, I find that as I get older I'm liking a bit more sun and warmth. I stopped by The Bass Shop and they're excited to have me come work with them next year, there's big changes coming for them and Thunder Road Guitars and I'm pretty excited to get to be a part of it. I have the feeling I'll be leaving Seattle Lighting sometime in the next few months and it'll be a good change for me.
If you haven't ever watched this series it captures Seattle better than any other, even though a great deal of it was shot in Vancouver, B.C. It's a very dark story.

It'd have to be the inserts; all the brackets are stamped "MX" and the overall Kit is supposed to be MX series as well.
It's explain the wood slots having substantial clearance internally for the aluminum to be wider inside... and if it was, there'd be no issue.
Email's been sent with photos; We shall see what tomorrow will bring. Hopefully at not much more waste of time, as time is my biggest problem these days.

Does anyone here know what volume and tone pot values the bicentennial birds used?
The tone cap is a .047uf but I can’t find any resistance markings on the volume and tone pots. A Typical Tbird would be 500k ohm on the volume pots and 250k ohm on the tone pot with some exceptions like the Goth.
I just wired my BaCH up with ‘76 pickups and it sounds great but the volume knobs are acting pretty much as an on off switch, no significant change in volume as you turn the knob. Tone knob works as it should. I just used the pots that were in the bass assuming it’s a 500k and 250k set but I suspect the volume knobs are not audio taper, so I’ll be replacing them with fresh audio pots in the correct vintage resistance.

Sometimes what I think is a good metaphor doesn’t always come across.
It's a must have. I even read on TB somewhere that it affects the tone!
Not a priority, but I'm so used to seeing tug bars, when I don't a Thunderbird looks naked.
I can't imagine tracking down a small component among so many as the problem it it's not obvious. Amazing stuff for far better people than me to figure out.

Thanks. Clearly one of the best basses I've ever bought, and worth the effort I put into it.It's beautiful, and contrary to Jeff I highly recommend a Tug Bar, it just looks proper.
