interesting comments, I dig (grew up in) the south, awesome part of the country...when abroad, I can tell who has and who has not been to the States by their comments.....iow, if they knock the USA, they've never been here....

totality agree....there are plenty of affordable places in the State if you avoid SF, SD, LA or SB....it's gotta suck not being able to live in your home state for cost reasons....

I liked Kentucky ok. Rode my bike from Cincinnati to Lexington once - some pretty country. Did some bike racing in KY and living in Cincinnati (for a couple years) - would do the short drive over the bridge on Sundays to buy alcohol... :)

Thanks Chuck, that would be very helpful.
I installed my standard selection of 500k vol and 250k tone with a .047 cap. But Marshall seemed to recall the original Bi Birds had a 250k VVT layout, I’ve even seen at least one schematic that lists 100k for all three pots. Those all have pretty profound impacts on the tone of the bass so I’d like to get my BaCH as close as possible to the original Bi Birds from the 1970’s.

the AMX motor is fine and in the car at the paint shop... the motor in pic is the rebuilt, soon to breathe through triple Webers, shaved head (higher compression) TR-6 motor to go back into this....

We lived in Camp Washington - a poor mostly industrial area minutes away from the bridge. It was an epicenter of sound and smells equidistant from a large pork processing building, a fire-station, and the main train-yards (coupling train cars 24-7) near the historic re-purposed central train-station. (I did some decorative painting on the interior when it was being renovated - it's a cool Depression Modern icon)

Cork & Bottle sounds right, but I never referred to the bridge as anything but "the Kentucky River bridge", or "the bridge". I would do rides in Kentucky and cross that bridge to get to the other side. My route was through a very poor area in KY along a river. No memory details other than riding in the summer was a sweat-fest. (high humidity)

Your bike route was most likely along the river, starting in Covington, going along the river through Ludlow, Bromley and ending around Villa Hills or St. Petersburg. Very depressed area along the river, constant flooding. You should have taken the Anderson Ferry from Ludlow back to the Ohio side around Delhi.

I getting a set of bicentennial replicas made by 916 Pickups here in CA. Not going to hold out for an original set.

916 provides a schematic and recommends 100k audio for both volumes and tone, and a .047 cap. I also have another schematic showing the same.
