If you just need to rehome the 200S, I'll sacrifice some space for it.It does come with the original foot switch. Still not convinced I'm interested. The 200S sounds great. If I was still playing the Rhodes, it would be more tempting.

If I needed a car and all that was available was a Pinto, I'd trade my Thunderbird E1 for it!glad you said something, guess you didn't pick up on the sarcasm....answer would be NO.....like trading a Thunderbird for a Pinto....
I played a couple of mudbucker-equipped, vintage Gibson EBs in shops during the GTG at Chuck's and the last one at V's. You missed your chance! My EB-2 has a Dimarzio One pickup instead of a stock mudbucker. I have not played anything with a stock mudbucker, but have loved the sound of that EB-2 for more than 40 years now. It is mostly retired now.
Find a bargain on a used one and do it!I saw Gibson did a bunch of British Racing Green guitars this year, and it got me wondering would a NR Thunderbird would look like in that finish. So ChatGPT helped me out, and now I wish they made it.

Nobody ever told them that staring at your fingers is bad showmanship.Well as far as electric bass guitars go there was this one, it’s even older than you!

The Audiovox 736 Electric Bass and 936 Amp
Eight decades ago, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer revealed the story of Paul H. Tutmarc debuting his latest invention – a solidbody electric bass. The 1935 article includes a photograph showing the…www.vintageguitar.com
I've added some syncopation for a couple of songs on Sunday! Be the change you want to see.I love the syncopated parts of the bass line. That kind of thing was fairly common then and seems to have fallen out of favor. It's a shame.
What was the fourth position?I liked the bass line. Didn't like the tone. When I played it with a band in 71-72, I used the Mudbucker until I got to the "solo", then switched to the bridge pup 'til the vocal came back in; then back to the Mudbucker. (switch positions 1 & 2, easy switch. That's with the 4 position switch on my 66 EB-3. The 2006 Epi EB-3 had a 3 position switch- 1, bridge, 2, both, 3, neck)
TRVTHNot to worry, the oysters are busy eating as much of it as they can.![]()
Agreed. Free was rock and roll. Bad Company was part of the pop music machine. And that's fine, just not for me.He was certainly wanting to push boundaries. To me Bad Company was a letdown.
yep, sounds pretty good too.....
Rickenbacker had something too I think..
I do it all the time. Whether the song calls for it or not.I've added some syncopation for a couple of songs on Sunday! Be the change you want to see.
Ehem.What was the fourth position?
Intentionally?I do it all the time. Whether the song calls for it or not.
Thanks. I was expecting one!Ehem.
We are adding Fire and Water to go with The Hunter.Agreed. Free was rock and roll. Bad Company was part of the pop music machine. And that's fine, just not for me.
Hadn’t actually heard one before. Dang, now I want one!
I think someone here on TB documented a replica build, wonder how it came out.
Did you look at that amp spec - bass amp at 18watts with 3% THD. Sounds like a studio guitarist dream and a stage bassist nightmare.
.... yep, sounds pretty good too.....

'Zackly. My '09 Epi EB-0's neck pup is kinda weak. I may replace the pup with a 30k Artec. Or not.AFAIK, no modern Epi shipped with a true mudbucker. Theirs are more like 1.2K than the typical mudbucker 30k (YZMV). That's not to say they don't sound good. It may be why you prefer this over the old EB.
yes, but would you trade one of these for a Pinto.......If I needed a car and all that was available was a Pinto, I'd trade my Thunderbird E1 for it!
And paint flames down the sides. Maybe paint an explosion on the back.
I never did figure out all 4 on the 66 Gibby. 1 was the Mudbucker, 2, the bridge, 3 & 4 were combinations that didn't really work for me (I read later that one of them acted as a 'choke'(?).What was the fourth position?
