You shouldn’t do any serious swimming for at least an hour after eating but that long ago turned into staying out of the water for an hour.Today’s news (smh) has an expert saying heavy rain (100mm +), added with the warm water conditions, is equivalent to “throwing burley or chum into the water”. The Bull Sharks come in closer to shore. Those conditions were met for the two worst attacks of the recent 4, plus the Port Macquarie attack.
The Bull Sharks stay close to shore in the harbour for up to 7 days after the heavy rain. Water conditions at Parramatta (way up, Parramatta River becomes or feeds the Harbour) are like “swimming in a latte”.
Lost the article, but this one is similar. Typed stuff out above as it may be paywalled.

Why sharks and humans crossed paths so often this week
After an unprecedented spate of shark attacks, experts beg bathers to avoid muddy waters after rains.www.smh.com.au
So our elders were correct about not swimming after heavy rain. They also told us to stay out of the surf at dawn and dusk as it was feeding time. Oh, and “you can’t swim for an hour after eating”… which of the 3 may be the old wife’s tale.
The Florida keys. The south Texas coast.Where doesn’t it snow in the US?
(Apart from Hawaii I guess)
Egad! Those reissues are $3500 at CME. GC has an old one like his for 1K. It’s looking a little rough. No bears here. Bears are attracted to tube amps.
I can vouch for southern FL since 1977, but the panhandle(AKA south AL)has already had some. Which is why I don't go up thataway.Where doesn’t it snow in the US?

Well...I love devilled eggs anyway. Now if that was something like deep fried pork belly...MMM!So..one more oyster thing.
Mrs Gator and I went down to Southern Maryland for a pre winter storm boat check.
After we went over our boat we went to our favorite waterside restaurant for lunch.
Good view for watching the oyster boats come in.
They had a crazy appetizer on the menu..
Well, we like deviled eggs..and we like fried oysters.
These things were off the hook!
Storm predictions are over a foot of snow at this point.or even an inch of ice depending on where we will fall on the storm line.
Cheers!

OK, cool. There weren't no way to do that back then-and since I no longer have the 66 EB-3, I don't need to 'search'.OK, I chased it down. Pos 3 was both pickups in parallel. Pos 4 was neck pickup with a midrange notch.
Does/did my hot tub* count? I certainly drank in there. You shouldn’t do any serious swimming for at least an hour after eating but that long ago turned into staying out of the water for an hour.
yeah, kinda like Costa Rico...On a technicality?
Sometimes.Intentionally?

Good thing we only have prehistoric six-gill and seven-gill sharks in Puget Sound. They stay way, way down in the depths when they are adults. Small juveniles might come up to where a really deep diver might see one. But that's it. No bull sharks around here, or anything else especially scary.Today’s news (smh) has an expert saying heavy rain (100mm +), added with the warm water conditions, is equivalent to “throwing burley or chum into the water”. It snows in Hawaii on top of the taller mountains. Those are a whole lot taller than you would expect. My wife and I went up Haleakalā last month, and it was really cold at the top, colder than it was in Seattle.Where doesn’t it snow in the US?
