This looks like the most compact option available... doesn't freak you out that there's so much unsupported neck?
I don’t think anyone is making those anymore.get the Canadian made 12/13 case.....yes they weigh more but I trust it blindly compared to the ohsc....seen some used ones online...

Pelican make (expensive) heavy duty gun cases that are TSA legal and have foam inside. They make one big enough to fit a Thunderbird. I have thought about getting one an making it into a Thunderbird case. But why would a person who already has a bunch of Thunderbird cases do that? No reason and it is expensive. So it has not happened. Plus other projects which we don't have to discuss.get the Canadian made 12/13 case.....yes they weigh more but I trust it blindly compared to the ohsc....seen some used ones online...

The fact that manufacturing is going the way of all flesh, as it were, keep keeps me wanting to make things.I don’t think anyone is making those anymore.
I do not think so anymore. I spent hours researching cases a couple years ago trying to find one like one of my BaCHs was in and struck out. That case was made in Canada and is not form fit around the body. It’s a big case and current manufacturers don’t list anything long enough to fit a NR.Does anyone make a good NR case that you know of? I don't recall seeing one. The '21 case weighs way more than the '66 NR does.
Yeah. There are a lot of options for reverse Thunderbirds. It’s a different story finding something for a non-reverse.The fact that manufacturing is going the way of all flesh, as it were, keep keeps me wanting to make things.
But to be constructive here, there are some pretty good soft cases that have some kind of skeletal structure. Even my Gator Pro-Go 2x bag seems like it will protect my 'Bird and a companion bass through some significant punishment.
Thanks. Good thought.get the Canadian made 12/13 case.....yes they weigh more but I trust it blindly compared to the ohsc....seen some used ones online...

See, I would take that as a clear sign to move. But I'm not used to that kind of thing. I hope Tues is more calm.Calling it a night. Two shakers big enough to throw things off shelves. 71 quakes today.

Yes, that's it. Mine was a Christmas present from the inlaws years ago. Nice case. It's what the '64 stays in. Often I use it for transport because I'm lazy and don't want to change cases and the handle on the TKL is more comfortable that the Epi case. THe older and more square Epi case has a little better handle. As far as the NR is conserned, I don't think it's long enough.TKL?
Is what came with my ‘64.![]()

not sure it could survive an EMP event.....
Sucking others into the same costly vortex is what friends do who spent too much on instruments. How much of it is the ‘64 Gibson itself, the EBCFs, or just in my mind, I don’t know for sure but the ‘64 is pure magic. I’ll gush over details later but for now will simply note that it’s an effort to pick up another bass when the ‘64 II is right there.
Steenking enablers.
It will likely have more output. Can't say from experience but always heard/read the late 60s pups often tended to be a little hotter than the early 60s versions. Maybe because they were simply a little "newer" (slightly stronger magnets). But that wouldn't seem to account for it I wouldn't think. If the 67 NR I just bought smokes my 79 reverse I’ll be in 7th heaven with two phenomenal basses.

don't know what you mean by unsupported,...the bass fits snug and doesn't move...the case came with the bass.... also keep in mind it's a thicker Greco neck....This looks like the most compact option available... doesn't freak you out that there's so much unsupported neck?
Nvidia Blackwell Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).I don't know what it is, but it's impressive.
TSMC 4nm process. State of the art.Nvidia Blackwell Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).
You guys won’t suck me. I’ve done enough damage on my own.Sucking others into the same costly vortex is what friends do who spent too much on instruments.
Part of it is they have a sound we tend to love, but there is some magic involved. Quarks maybe, who knows.
