Thank you all for the welcomes and complements on my behs. I like long walks on the beach, candlelight dinners, drinking pina coladas, and getting caught in the rain but what I like the most is playing a Thunderbird.

I see 0.2 ohms between the jack ground and the bridge, so I know that ground is good. 0.6 ohms from jack ground to the tuner posts, all four of them.

Well that confirms the bridge ground is still connected. The last grounding check would be from the output jack across all the pots. Then there’s still the potential for incorrect wiring of the pickups to the pots. As @Engle noted, there’s also the possibility the pickups were built incorrectly with one of the coils accidentally reversed, but I’ve personally never seen or heard of that happening in a Tbird pickup.
A photo of the control cavity might help a lot in troubleshooting.
As a side note, have you tried a different instrument cable, they do go bad and can cause a lot of noise (or the complete lack of sound) when they are faulty.

In other news, such that it is, I'm finding uses for the B string on the fiver. I never thought there would be much reason for that fifth string before having one. It only comes out for one band, and most of the songs don't require a low B string. It gets used anyway. If you build it they will come, or something like that. It's still screwing up my fingering, because my hands seem to count down from the lowest string to know where they are. I'm having to think about which string is which for the first time in a very long time.

FWIW, when I use(d) my fiver, I rested my thumb on the B until I needed to hit a note on it(the string, that is).
