Cloudy, occasional patches of blue skies, moderately chilly temps (50's), low wind, some sprinkles but no rain. The saying in the Bay Area is that if you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes and it'll change! (or something like that) We rocked our 1hr set for the brave souls who scoff at inclement weather. The new bass & first live use of my NOS Ashdown 330 Spyder killed. We all had a blast so it was a success!
A decent drummer that shows is certainly is definite need, understanding dynamics is the other. The volume is between the ears and if there's nothing between the ears..... Many problems arise when playing, but a loud drummer is really high on the list. The loudest drummer I ever played with was insane. I mean like, "Dude, what's wrong with you? Are you hearing what's happening? We're all playing--and still sounds like a drum solo. Tell you anything?"
He was given hotrods by the BL and was still ungodly loud. I didn't think it possible to be that loud with those. He was a great drummer and filled in a couple times. Even playing bass (or anything), has a feel to it and you play harder at times and softer at others without touching the amp. How a person can be so lost in themselves to not notice they are not just loud, but crazy loud is beyond me.

Used the '06 at rehearsal last night. Talk about a joy to play. Sounded great with the ABM (first time together). Old pic prior to the Black Nylons being on it. The other old bass is just and old beater I've had around for decades.
As mentioned previously, our drummer often isn't loud enuff-but don't tell him I said that.
@Chucky Stiletti feel the 4.87 down your way? Even felt the wave up here.
Yep....couple of little aftershocks too....
last night's practice.... like playing with this drummer (Rob) but he can get loud..... the SVT (short stack like Marshall's) sounded stellar....

Yeah. I never met the guy. Could have been a power trip, unable/unwilling to get out of machinist mode due to trauma/anger/?, dislike of the contractor, or some other reason.

Due to a bad photo and my being in a hurry, I bought a chrome Hipshot 3 point Supertone. I wanted black to match my Thunderbird hardware. Does anyone have a black one they want to trade for chrome? A long shot I know, but I will list the chrome one in the classifieds if no one here steps forward.
Look closer. It’s a Berg NV 610 with his proprietary ceramic drivers. Sealed. No tweeter. I guess it’s a mid stack.
