I was curious about the pups that came in the '66 NR. They are Korean (BHK--not to be confused with BHC which are Chinese), and actually post 2006 as indicated by the green compliance sticker. I know nothing more than that. I have spent a lot of time looking into to who BHK make Thunderbird pups (or that shape) for and the only think that mildly makes sense is Epi, but the chrome can doesn't add up unless they would be post VP pups. That seems possible but unlikely.

They made pups for a lot of people but nothing showed a vintage Thunderbird pup. They made the short scale Silverburst pups (it seems), but those are more square and less rounded on the corners. They didn't seem to make and sell pups as replacements. I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what they may have come out of. I don't think they would be post VP 760s with no stamp given JT had the bass over a year and who knows how long they were in it before that, but it is possible I suppose. In the end if they sound good they will stay regardless. Just one of those things I'm curious about. Maybe I need to talk to Dave's daughter. (That part really doesn't need a response.;))

No, a handle makes it a portable appliance.
Regardless of mass.
So an Acoustic Control Corporation 361 Power Plus cabinet is a portable appliance. Makes sense. Mine has been portable, more or less, since 1968. At least off and on it has. Maybe not for the last ten years or so. It still has a handle, but it's the Grexa reissue that's portable now. Both are smaller than an Ampeg 'fridge, but far bigger than a dishwasher, so there's that. Probably heavier than any dishwasher, too.
