Thunderbird Club

I think my new favorite pop band I mostly discounted when hearing it new is The Moodies - such a great band. Ride My See-Saw included in this doc is a fave. They mention 10CC which I saw a couple years ago here in SF and they were amazing!

Cool 3 P-pu FSO at 47:53... mostly agree with the guy speaking then about "the '80s"... ;)

In my regular rotation. Even the early stuff with Denny Laine.

Have been working on this one lately. Great bassline.

I've never seen any ads, but after JIO mentioned it, I do get these blank spaces between some posts. Just me?

I don’t think of them as pop, but I still listen to their music. Great stuff.

I initially saw that and after a while an ad pops up in that space. If that just happened - I'd report it.

Yes, they were hard to pin down but a song like "Ride My See-Saw" is definitely rockin' pop. Others are proto prog-ish, some are ballads... it's what made them more interesting and also hard to categorize. Pointing out that their strength was melodic was spot on.

We haven't worked this up yet, it's on the list and I can't wait - the guitar work is really good.

I would love to play that song w/TSC - it's got such a driving beat/bass and great vocals. (lot's of reverb)

ThunderPbass on it's "direct" path to Louisville from Fl.
I often tell people the easiest way from Indy is via Chicago. Especially if you miss Lou from FL. I guess if you overshoot Lou by 2 hrs might as well add another 3 and keep going. Gov efficiency on display. A lot of things need some serious overhauling. I'm sure there's some weird "explanation" that only makes sense at USPS and nowhere else. Well, FedMess as well.
It will be funny to see how it gets here. If by road it will go back through Indy. Of course there is always Tulsa.

interesting right hand technique....at least they showed the bass player...

I think he was just having a bit of fun, no amps or cords in the video. I have heard another mix of this song that has the guitar a bit more prominent though.

Good to see you and Becca on the bill!
Yah, smiling is the primary goal of a dubbed-in 'performance'. The bass-line is very physical/unrelenting - it would be a real workout. Luckily it's so consistent/uncomplicated that singing over it would be easier. And doing multiple vocals would be the only way to make a cover of that song "sing".
