I think it's everything, but ugly same for the mid 60s Cudas.
I think the '62 Dodge Dart takes the top spot...
This one on the other hand is hideous.
My uncle had a slightly later model Dart.
Didn't have all the cool aerodynamic trim as the '62. Push button transmission.
Was a truly piece of junk, but at the time, we loved it.

There are basses, and there are Thunderbirds!
That's your problem right there: Thunderbirds just don't do Classic Fender tones...
Neither the Thunderbuckers nor the "Chinabuckers" will do that for you either - Thunderbirds are a completely different animal sound and build wise than Fenders. Also you should not EQ your bird like you do your Fenders as that won't work either.
Nice rides! You've hit on my other passion (cars) I try to focus on basses because it's a cheaper hobby but I have a huge soft spot for anything on wheels. Let's see some more pics of that 440 Satellite, always loved that body style. And although I'm a Ford man when it comes to muscle cars I have to admit Mopar had the market cornered on awesome body styles from about 1970 to 1974.

Tryin' to get a T-bird to sound like a Jazz Bass, is like tryin' to get a burrito to taste like a Big Mac.

Highly argued topic but Mopar also reigned supreme when it came to drivetrains especially in the 60's and early 70's.
Also why the very early Ford's used Dodge Brothers engines.
One thing you might want to consider is an effect pedal to enhance the sound. I think my Thunderbird (also 2013) sounds fantastic through my Darkglass Alpha-Omega. Also different strings can make a big difference.
The other side of the "Mopar is best looking muscle car in the 1970 to 1974 era" coin is that it was absolutely the ugliest muscle car pre 1970. I don't know what they did to their design staff in 1969 but it looks like they fired every last one of them to come up with a great 1970 model year line up.I think the '62 Dodge Dart takes the top spot...
Maybe pre-64. Every year from 64-72 either Plymouth or Dodge if not both had at least one beautiful car. I think 73 started getting ugly
Never any trucks though.

My dad goes on there almost daily, he's constantly looking for the next project.
LMC is a bunch of... wrenches, for lack of a better term. With their noses in the clouds. (They're only a couple hours from me)

Hey @Mantis Tobaggan , pick up height is also a contributing factor like on most any bass. Rolling out some low end and pumping some high mids really does the trick.

If you go into their cars for sale, they had a 66 Hemi Satellite that looks very similar to the end plan for mine.
Also like the '69 better. Seems like you prefer the more risque design that came out ca 70.
How about the 70 judge? Always thought that was the epitome of the 70s muscle cars.

compared to the 1968 and newer challengers which kinda took on the look of a sleek but deadly shark as the body design progressed into the early 1970's. With the 1971 model year being my favorite.

Yeah, I think they, unsuccessfully, tried to copy Ford's fastback design. The proportions are a bit off, but I don't think it's that bad. I figured you'd like the 71 the most. Most radical Dodge imo.
The 1970 Judge was an awesome car as were many of the GM offerings that year. But for shear muscle in a sexy package I still gotta go with the ultra rare 1970 Mustang 429 Boss Hemi. Less than 500 made that year, massive horsepower and NASCAR heritage. Unfortunately astronomical selling prices on these monsters.
