Yep... My Blacktop P came with tons of chrome hardware, which I swapped for black chrome instead, which made the 'chrome white pearl' finish 'pop' even more than the chrome did...
Might still mod a couple of 'birds with chrome though - Just for the fun of it, when I have the time for it.
Hey... if I can have Buck Owens and Avenged Sevenfold both in my playlist... surely there's room for Zappa and Frampton in yours

My thoughts on this also apply to cars. Not sure if it's the same now, since I'm out of touch with it, but in the 90s, BMW had black or chrome trim. The black was on the M cars and sport models, and the chrome was on the "regular" ones. The black just looked cooler.Yep... I just don't know if i have it in me for Frampton, but i'll try.
I did see him live at The Garden back in his day though.
Gotta admit, it was a great show and the sound was awesome, helped to have good seats too.

My man, Colorado for sure, but it is def going on in Seattle too. It's amazing how the glass blowing industry has advanced due to the increase in, well, you know....
There is a interesting documentary called Degenerate Art: The Art and Culture of Glass Pipes which used to be on Netflix, but it appears it is no longer on rotation. Here's a preview from Youtube.

Yes. We are a pioneer in legal dope. It's not my thing, but I'm OK with it. It surprises me who partakes and when these days. I have no interest whatsoever, since it made me paranoid and then asleep back in the 1970s. It's a whole lot more powerful now. No thanks. I don't like being paranoid and then asleep. Beer makes me stupid and awake. That's more fun.

Nope. Washington and Colorado were the first. I'm pretty sure there are a number of states that have fully legalized by now. I don't know which states those are.
Yes, back in the late 80s and 90s I was very much of the persuasion that chrome is for old men. Black trim was cool.
CA was the first state to legalize medical marijuana back in '96.
They're making it completely legal by January 2018 from the sounds of it.
I don't think that legalized is the right word, as that implies that it is not a criminal code offence and IIRC the criminal code is federal. Instruction to law enforcement to not arrest & charge and unwillingness from the DA to prosecute - what would that be? Tolerance or decriminalization?
The criminal code part is a big deal as none of the federally chartered banks can have any relationship (banking, payment processing etc.) as doing any of those things would constitute money laundering.
