I'm pretty sure you can find left handed EB-3's (34" scale)Yeah, no chance. I still feel really lucky to have a left-handed Gibson Thunderbird.

\m/Im running free yeah, Im running free!.

You would gig the only 301 most people would ever see. There's not that many in circulation these days, but I suspect there are plenty around in closets, barns, basements, and the like. They are near indestructible. The 410's are definitely awkward to carry, but they'd be staying at home anyways. If/when I start gigging, I'd probably get used 810... or use that 301.

Is the 301 pretty much the same cab as the 361 sans onboard power? You would gig the only 301 most people would ever see. There's not that many in circulation these days, but I suspect there are plenty around in closets, barns, basements, and the like. They are near indestructible.
Let me know when you see one. ;-)I'm pretty sure you can find left handed EB-3's (34" scale)
The southern hemisphere... Well, we just don't go there.
Ah. Well, that would be a different reason to buy it from what I would have. But, if you plug a 'Bird into an appropriate Acoustic head and run it through the 301, you might find all kinds of other amplifiers become surplus. The one thing to remember is that they were built before there were many B-strings or much use of octave pedals, so they aren't ideal for going down to sub-earthquake frequencies. They can do it, but aren't going to blow down walls with low frequencies. They are far better at higher frequencies than they have any right to be.
Happy birthday!
And let me add my happy Birthday too!
It's funny how it does that. It doesn't have to be loud to turn unsuspecting innards into mush. I think there's something about a folded horn that causes all kinds of body cavities to vibrate in unusual ways. It's a lot of responsibility. It's not just beer that causes humans to reproduce. And that's a good thing, that 301 will tear guts out.
That's @kat888 turf.
In effect. There are some construction changes and access to the speaker for service is a little different, but as far as what it sounds like and what it does, they are very similar. I don't think a 370 head through a 301 cabinet sounds like a 360 preamp through a 361 Power Plus cabinet. The 360 stack sounds fuller and better to my ears. The 360 stack is juicier and has a little more shine and is a little more dark blue, where the 370 has more of a matte sound and more yellow. Sorry about the colors, I just don't know how else to describe these things. Is the 301 pretty much the same cab as the 361 sans onboard power?
That's what they all say. Until it's too late. You can't fool us for one minute.Hardly. I'm a little old lady who works in an office.
How many did you see even then? They have never been all that common as far as I can tell. When I turn up with a 360, most people don't know what it is, and those that do make some comment about having not seen one for a long time. That's just one more reason to use 'em. It's not a #$%@ Ampeg. It sounds better than that, and it is solid state. Thumb in the eye of conventional wisdom.Haven't seen a 301 since the early 80s.
