WHOA!!.....Not being an official club member, I probably shouldn't give out suggestions here but being 1963 pages in would be a significant milestone right? The number coincides with the same year as the Thunderbird's creation.
Its like you were stalking us and waiting to strike with this information when the time was right.Welcome ThunderFox ! Happy belated birthday to you Michael !
Gibson should make a 1963 or/and a 1976 Thunderbird reissue ... but as Tbird1958 said, I doubt that it would sell.
I actually like (as much as I hate it) the fact that Thunderbird basses are so rare.

Thanks for the welcome, glad to be a member,Welcome ThunderFox!
Yes, they do now. They snorked up a whole lot of old brand names, and that's one of them.Keep in mind I'm a noob to the bass world as I ask... are you saying that Guitar Center owns Acoustic?
There is. It's a 301 cabinet, and those were built to be driven by 370 heads. That gave way to 320 heads powering 408 cabinets. Just to make everything completely confusing, there's no correlation between the model number and configuration of anything. A 408 cabinet has two front firing 15s and two 15 that fire at each other in a slot in the middle of the cabinet. The intent was to create a projected sound like a folded horn but also have a near-field sound like a 'fridge or something. I don't know if it worked, but it sure sounded good when I had one. I sometimes regret letting that stack go. But, I still have the 360s and they aren't going anywhere.Oh crap, that's right.
I thought there was a non-powered version.

1. I wonder if the video does not do justice to thunderbuckers,
2.There is no mention of which version of thunderbuckers are used, and
3. I am leaning toward putting thunderbuckers in my pro-v anyway.
edit - if I read the video title instead of just listening...
I wish!Maybe it’s the little bottle of Jack Daniels it comes with?
It actually did. I found with the inserts the front screw couldn't adjust as low as I prefer. I like my action stupid low so removing that little lip really helped bring it to where I like. Of course it isn't as low as my other basses, but it's a Damn Thunderbird and I know it isn't meant for thatVery nice! Did you find that grinding the lip off the bridge insert really allowed you to drop the bridge?
Thanks for sharing BTW!
Thunderbird Thursday..........................
Notice how yellow/orange the sunlight is, still very smoky and the worst air quality of the entire U.S. here today. Not supposed to get better until Saturday.

Make sure the front is a little higher than the back so you have a good break angle on the strings over the saddleIt actually did.
