B, do indeed block him. I did a little while back and it has made things more enjoyable. I also wouldn't give him a plug nickel for anything he built strictly because of his attitude. He promptly let me know my money or business wouldn't be missed and I take pleasure in knowing I haven't bought that into his b/s.
Amazing actually. I won't bother to block, but if and that's a BIG IF- I had any interest in exploring his builds- There would be a snowball chance in Hades of that- i.e. "Nip" Basses- he edited it out, but no difference.
I have a bass built by Michael Stevens who is acknowledged as one of the World's best- For real.

During the build of my Slant 4, we communicated well, and despite his client roster, he treated me like a valued Customer. It took (2) years to get my bass, it was worth it.
This guy- Cataldo- I believe his "ire" and snark was instigated because he saw my pics of Japanese-built T-bird styles, which- by Atelier-Z, Kaminari, and Psychedelic- make his look like the parts basses they are. He felt threatened, Too bad.
Years back, I looked at his work, and the issues brought up in the thread here on TB were a big red flag. I'll pass.
I've had (2) Lull T-birds, they didn't work for me either, but the pups were great.
The Thunderbird body is a work of art, and a group like this that shares the love is very cool- But that type of nonsense from people who must be very disgruntled in their personal lives. Too damn bad.
Thanks for the heads-up; pretty obvious to me to stay away. After all, why wouldn't any builder say something of the sort like:
"Hey, please take a look at what I'm doing! I think you would like my approach, etc!"
Instead of....
What he said
