Build quality is not subjective. Tell me that the Gibson or wait, Epiphone T-Birds are on the level of a one-off small batch build like the Japanese builders I mentioned I will tell you-
"Fine, you go with those, and I'll go with these"

The"no bass is better" comment was a response to the poster who stated that. It would appear we are talking that no
preference in bass is better, you like a Squire, you like a Squire. A Sadoswsky, e.g is measurably better.
The vibrancy of the Japanese MI scene is like nothing here. Obviously, a small homogeneous Country with an ancient culture has a reverence for things that can be tough for an American after time- EG- in every store, before you try a bass, the clerk takes, it, wipes it down, tunes it w/ a headstock tuner, only THEN hands it to you. Little different than GC, huh?
After many shops, I finally blurted out; "Gimme the *&&^% Bass, I know what to do!"
