Well, if you are going that route, I have a set of Lollar replacement pickups sittin' around doin' 'nuffin in my basement....

Yeah, it's been busy around here - kinda almost like a full time job to keep yourself updated in this club. :)

Hey man. Ya see that round gouge in the shielding of my control plate cover? Check & see if you got a gouge like that in yours. I was having static issues, and as it turns out... the terminal on the jack was too long, and was jamming into that shielding. Replaced the jack, got ridda the static:thumbsup:

Ok, if that is correct I guess I have my answer.
The 9 ply is done to justify the "Classic" & "Vintage" tags. Which make some sense to me.
The 7 (5) ply is the modern interpretation or evolution of the neck through, hence its use on the Pro.
