I think all the finishes should be available on all models.

I like Rickenbacker's triangles, and Aria's ovals. I think T-birds could look cool with ovals or something.

Personally a sucker for rectangular inlays. and add the binding.......
As far as colors, yes, all options should be available for bass guitars

Not a fan of Monster anything, to colored and exaggerated sounding.
I could try your recommendation, it's a Mogami cable, pretty stiff, hard to bend.

It's a wonder that Gibson never used Burgundy Mist Metallic (Epi has) as BMM would be awesome on a T-bird (bass).

Most likely Gibson has copyrighted their T-bird logo and Epi had to come up with a version w/o exactly copying it.

Which, as Epiphone is Gibson owned and controlled, gives them a second version that another copier would have to be nn% different from.
Wild guess.

It was a quip at some manufacturers' tendency to offer only very limited finish and bling options for bass.

Gibson, Guild, Gretsch and Ric were the early makers to offer bound necks as a deluxe detail. (primarily on guitars other than their later use on Rics) It wasn't until CBS bought Fender in late '65 that any bound necks were added to Fender guitars or basses. Bound and blocked necks were just so anti-basic working musician gestalt for Leo Fender, a very "meat & potatoes"/pencil pocket protector kind-of guy. CBS management initiated all these more (in some ways traditional) visual details more like Gibsons and Rics etc.

Yes, 1966 to be exact. Ric basses had bound/triangle blocks in the early 60's. Many MIJ 60's American-style knock-offs had B&B necks as well. Burns of London had bound necks for guitars but not basses.

Yes, the headstock does resemble a beak - Just wierd it was/is upside down... Should have flipped just like Carlo does them...

I do love how the flipped-up tip frames the tuners, though.
