...or when Stretch Armstrong walked on the moon, or when Christopher Columbus Day (musta been related to Dorris Day) invented American Indians, or when Einstein had a theory about his relatives; it ain't over till the fat lady sings, and Rosie O'Donnell is no where near the microphone yet!

Exactly. The state troopers eventually got smart and got Mustang LX 5.0s with manual transmissions. Not much could outrun them I’d guess. Probably awesome power to weight ratio.
Crown Vics were pretty fast for such a big car. Of course, the cop ones always had the biggest engines they came with. My parents had a '95 T-bird with the same engine, and that thing could really go.

But it got to the point where at night I could recognize the exact shape of Crown Victoria headlights in the rear view mirror.
