I have a MAX41 witth a single 63 and flats, a MAX42 with a 63N and a 66B (closer to the bridge than standard 60s position with stacked pots for the widest sound palette) with Ken Smith rounds, and a 12er with a single 66S. They're all slightly different but if I HAD to choose it would be the 63N , same as in my '64 II...which I'd choose if I had to pick only one bass.

They went after Warmouth at one point. I haven't checked lately, but Warmouth stopped making 'Bird shaped bodies a while ago.
[edit] Just checked - they still don't make 'Bird shaped bodies. Lots of others, but it looks like Iceman shaped bodies are the closest you can get from them.

Just got an update from an Aussie Guitar shop, not good news.
“The current Gibson/Epiphone supplier has just had the brand taken off them so there is no incoming stock for the time being. We are hopeful a new supplier will be setup in the next few weeks and we start to see stock again before Christmas.”

No idea. Only thing I can think off is that the music store that @kat888 mentioned was closing their flagship shop a little while ago... maybe they are the distributor? I think they may be.
Perhaps they are really pulling their financial horns in? All supposition on behalf though.
