@Dadagoboi - I'm in the market for some flat or satin back trim rings for my FrankenGoth. I don't care if they're metal or plastic or screw or screwless but they need to fit over a Bartolini pickup (EMG size Humbucker). If you do custom size rings please ping me and I can provide all the dimensional data you'll need. I'd rather keep the money in the clan than just having some bloke down the street do the work.

EMG 35 series size? Standard rings will work with a little modification. I can do a pair of no scrus in satin, almost flat black.

The only problem is when the next run of metal gets done, I'm down to my last ring. Probably won't have more until January. If that will work, send me a PM.

If I could get matching covers for my TB+, I'd be interested. Probably for both my regular and RNR. Changing the pickup covers isn't something I'd look forward to doing, but it would look so good.

There are a couple of Husker Du show videos on youtube that I was at. The first, was at Love Hall, 1983. I was, I guess, 16 at the time and went with my older brother. The show was great but looking at it now its is pretty crazy. Pretty much total anarchy. No stage set up, no real PA, no stage security. The building it was in was a 3 or four story row style home. The top two floors had burned and soot would rain down as bands played and people moshed etc. When you left and blew your nose or spit, everything was black......

The second video was at the "West Side Club" which was the basement of a row home where DJ's from Drexel Universities radio station (WKDU) lived. When bands came through Philly they would often have shows in the basement. IIRC correctly somewhere in the video I am standing behind Greg Norton's Amp. He was using a Gibson Victory bass t the time. Kind of funny to see you 17 year old self staring back you through a computer!

We opened for them a second time on their final tour at Temple University in Philly. They did not seem to bee super happy as a group and not long after they broke up. The show was great though.

The coolest thing for me was that I got to meet a lot of the people whose records I owned and loved.

My first bootleg VHS punk show was 1988 SNFU and as Im was watching the band play my body enters the stage and flies through the air and goes into a nose dive, my first stage dive ever!, on VHS in my collection!. A moment I will never forget, I was nervous and waited until last song to pull it off. I was falling from the sky like a shot down Messerchmitt and as I braced for the floor my two front hands became completely full of something really large and very firm that totally saved me. It was a large chested punker chick, when I hit the floor she smiled an evil grin and threw me into the pit.

I have a MAX41 witth a single 63 and flats, a MAX42 with a 63N and a 66B (closer to the bridge than standard 60s position with stacked pots for the widest sound palette) with Ken Smith rounds, and a 12er with a single 66S. They're all slightly different but if I HAD to choose it would be the 63N , same as in my '64 II...which I'd choose if I had to pick only one bass.

I'm interested in hearing more about the 63N. It seems most people opt for the 66, so that's the one you hear about most. I've heard the 63 is a little bit more Fender-y given it's lower winds. I was thinking of hiding a Tele single coil under a T-bird cover, but am also curious if the 63 would get me closer to that ballpark as opposed to the stock Greco pickup. It, as well as the 66s, strike me as being a bit more choked sounding/throaty, likely given the higher winds, but I'm looking to make it a bit more open sounding with some more sparkle on the high end.

TB+ standard plastic covers are larger than vintage metal ones. Doing rings for them would require too much development time to make it worthwhile.
