Thunderbird Club

This little guy will hang back in 2017 when the new year bells ring. I sure do miss him.

Ok... totally off any of the possible topics being kicked around... but I LOVE the ceiling in your kitchen! What is it... or how was it done, or whatever?

That would be something called a ‘stomp texture.’ My dad and Brother are drywall contractors. I’m pretty good at it too, but life is way too short and it’s way too much like work!

For that texture, you thin out joint compound, roll it on the ceiling and ‘stomp’ it with a texture brush. You can get em at most home improvement stores

It's the same old tale Will, overindulgence. It leads to the Queen to the bathroom talking to God on the big white telephone. :vomit:
Then we will just have to concoct a much better tale of misadventure. It can involve a rented Cadillac convertible, a few road blocks, loud rock and roll, a chorus line, three airline pilots, and a horse.

you just told on yourself that you have never lived with one. I was a total non-cat person until I got engaged and now I am a lifer
Cats seem to love me, when Im at a friends place the cats come out of hiding and start rubbing against me and purring like crazy witch usually baffles the owners. Im not a cat person, doesnt mean I dont like them but I would rather visit them than live with them. I think they are interesting.

That’s me! Hell... I’m allergic to them... and live with 2 of ‘em:rolleyes:

I have a buddy who owns like 25 basses, mostly PJ variants. He recently went off the deep end for Dingwalls and has a couple really nice ones. I used to have a Dingwall Super J with a PJ config and it was a darn fine bass. At any rate, I told him about my recent obsession with T Birds and immediately, he said, “You should get a D Bird!” I tried to explain that it wasn’t just the styling of T Birds that gets me (though I love the looks), it’s THE SOUND. D Birds, aside from being super expensive with a long waiting list, don’t really sound like T Birds. They sound fantastic, but they don’t sound like T Birds. This got me to thinking about one of the things I love about natural finish ‘Birds, or just the basic colors of White, black, red or burst. They maintain that sort of ‘brutish’ thing I love about the way they sound. The looks match the sound. I was somewhat proud of my little theory until I stumbled upon...

I’d rock that in a heartbeat!

I've seen that bass before.

My wife is allergic to cats. Very allergic. But we had a cat for a while. When we first moved to Seattle, a kitten jumped into our apartment and chose her. That was it - she was his human. We found out that the guy who lived next door, a man who couldn't spell closet, let alone be in it, had named the kitten "Serena." He decided that since he already had a small dog that didn't seem to like the kitten, and the kitten had chosen my wife, we should keep the kitten. I'm rural. Which means I know what gender animals are, pretty much without thinking about it. The kitten was not female at all, in spite of what "her" previous human thought. A gay guy who didn't recognize a male? Something was odd. Anyway, my wife said that we should call him Dick, and that way nobody would ever make the mistake again. So we did. He was officially Richard, but really, he was Dick the Cat. Dick the Cat was the most polite, non destructive, non messy cat you could possibly have. He was black and white and perfectly symmetrical. He lived four years and then caught some disease in spite of all of his shots and died. He was the perfect cat. We haven't had another cat since, due to my wife's allergies, but we did have one for a while. So, there's that.

Damn you are vicious, Ive known people that have had this done to their cats, I never asked questions. Thought it was normal veterinary practice.

Yeah, it's one of those things that sounds like a good idea. Until you find out that it's the equivalent of cutting off a person's fingers at the first joint, that is... Then? Uh, maybe not such a good idea, after all...
