Because he came across as a piece of crap for handling it the way he did. It bore exploration. Perhaps they spent a little too much time on it, but it was important. That show damn near turned into a Billy Joel documentary![]()
Chuck Garric (Alice's bassist and also in Beasto Blanco) sat in with Thee Rock and Roll Residency here in Nashville a couple months back. Thee Residency is a couple guitarists and a drummer who get some luminaries (Ray Luzier of Korn, Eric Brittingham formerly of Cinderella, Lzzy Hale and Joe Hottinger, and others) to sit in. Chuck did Killed By Death with them. Dude is a monster bass player, AND has the killer rock voice. Plus, he's just A super cool dude.I enjoyed Hired Gun (Mr. Joel is quite a piece of work) because Alice Cooper is still cool and his bassist IS playing a Thunderbird.
Ah. I have a special thing for Nick. This is he and I in 1993 in Brazil. Quite a fun time. He was touring with Die Haut. The first one.
And the same to you!So.
First, I would like to take a moment and wish all of you the very best for Christmas, hopefully it's a time to be with your families and all the people in your life that you love. It's a true pleasure to know you all through our common love for Thunderbird basses, that we can find civility and be good to each other while chiming in from all over the world says so much about you all. Thanks for making it such a great place!
Interestingly, it's actually snowing here in Seattle - a rare occurrence on Christmas, I may pull on some boots and a warm coat and go for a walk later.
Merry Christmas!
Veronica
Why clip an ear though ? To indicate it’s feral ?Can they kill you? This is Australia, after all.
I think you're right. A friend here adopted a feral cat from a shelter and he's also got an ear clipped. It's a regular thing.
All part of the "I-10 from Beginning to End" tour. I'll be making that trip for about the twelfth time in 2018. Last time was a 52 hr. marathon, all 2,640 miles, in my then three days new to me twin turbo Z, starting in Santa Monica, 2008. Gonna take a little longer this time.
You know that feeling when you've never liked someone and then you discover thay are a real sh!tbag as well? 'See, I was spot on about him. I always knew.'
Anyone here of more goth/noir inclinations looking for a good music film really has to check this out.
Roland S Howard, like Johnny Marr, is a guitarist I love ... but whose best known associated band I loathe (I can't abide the Birthday Party -- or the Smiths).
Yes, Crime and the City Solution, These Immortal Souls, anything which has Rowland and NO Cave is fine with me.
It signifies that a feral cat has been fixed. Why clip an ear though ? To indicate it’s feral ?

Tastes like cabbage, no?That's easy to explain! Money tastes awful!![]()
It’s ok if it’s 13 +
All the techies come back in january. That's what's wrong with it. They leave in late december, giving those of us who are actually from the area a nice little time when we can enjoy it being a bit more the way it used to be.Anyone here live in San Francisco?
I love SF except for the second week of January. Of course, this year I have to go (on relatively short notice - reasonable notice for 2nd week of January is 6 months).
What is wrong with SF the second week of January? It is the JP Morgan biotech conference so every biotech company in the world is there. So, trying to book a hotel a few weeks out (if there is a room available) means prices in the $1500-4000 per night range. If you want a restaurant reservation, you better be making it now.
What do the locals think? Do you even notice?
I drove a cab in NYC for a while. I saw a few things. There are things about money that you just don't want to know. I am very happy to use credit cards and not handle bills whenever possible.
I like Nick Cave mainly because he shares my dislike of the RHCP.Do you dislike Nick Cave, or just when the two collaborated?
