Thunderbird Club

Back to actual bass guitar stuff. I finished the P-Bird, with the exception of final leveling and buff-out of the paint. It sounds like it should, and the pickups are great. They have a growl and bite that my 7ender Precision doesn't have. It might be the strings. You never know. Funny thing about it is that I put the strap buttons where they should be, and it wants to hang like a Precision. It will stay up where a 'Bird stays naturally without much effort, but let go, and it slouches like a 7ender. Through the original 360, it's every bit as thunderous as it should be. I'm happy with it. Now I need to finish the TeleBird and get onto other projects.

My son mentioned that he might like a guitar when he was home last week. Hmmm...

He already has a Thunderbird. I made sure of that, even though he's a trumpet player.

Weird, I just got a call from a very sweet person telling me I could come grab my bass tonight, or they’d deliver tomorrow. Headed there now. Not taking anymore chances :)
Great news! I'm really looking forward to what you think of it. It will be different from the 2014. Not necessarily better or worse, just different. That's why N+1.

You must have gone through to their Newcastle upon Tyne call centre.

Couldn’t have been Glasgow, because I did understand some of what they said. Mississippi?

I look forward to finding out!

Man are those ups boys lucky, i was going to have to call on The Piranha Brothers to get your Bird Mark.

I haven’t gotten it yet, so let’s keep em on hold!

DUKE THIS ISN'T JUST ABOUT YOU, GO AND GET THAT BIRD FOR US!!

I’m on it! At UPS now. Ironically, on my way in a driver asked me what my address was. When I told him, he said “I was your delivery man and made two different attempts today!” I told him one of us was in the living room, right by the front door the entire day. He said “You must not have heard me knock.” I said, “well, that’s strange because we happened to get packages from FedEx and USPS today and we heard them”
