Ok, it's time to call in The Bishop.
Ha! How have I never seen that skit?!

Ok, it's time to call in The Bishop.
WOW... that's all I got... just WOW...Sheesh! On hold for 20 minutes or more. It was amazing how many times I was told “there’s nothing we can do about it” from folks I could barely understand. I’m seriously not a “I demand to speak with your supervisor!!!” kinda dude by any stretch, but that was a frustrating waste of my time. Might’ve gotten a tad pissy
After I explained my point of view to the last guy he really said this...
“Actually there was no attempt to deliver today, but we will reattempt by the end of the day Monday.”
“DID YOU HEAR WHAT YOU JUST SAID?!”
At that point, I just told the guy that the idea of an expensive, somewhat fragile package bouncing around in the back of a truck, exposed to the cold, whatever, for 3 more days was unacceptable. Especially since we are not the ones at fault here. As if by magic, he gives me an address, says I’ll be getting a call within the hour and can go pick it up tonight. WhY couldn’t we just have made that happen without me having an hour of my life wasted and without making me become a total a$$hole just to fix a simple problem?
That got me worked up pretty good
Sorry to rant, guys!
Ha! How have I never seen that skit?!
Sometimes you just have to be a dick. Other times it's better to be nice. Sounds like it was one of those times being a dick paid off.
Glad to hear that you'll be getting it tonight though!
A few times when I can hardly understand someone, I just say "I'm having a hard time understanding you. May I please speak to someone else?" It's paid off a few times.
Trying to help ease that little bit of a nightmarish interlude you just had.
It helped, thanks!
Might need more help if those bastards don’t call and let me go pick up my bass tonight![]()
I'm on standby for ya!, but all that bull they gave you, Uff!!!!!!!!!
As soon as I typed that last post I got paranoid and googled the address they gave me. It’s for a UPS store that closed nearly an hour ago and isn’t open Saturday or Sunday...
WHAT???!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, that's insane!
Thunderbird sighting.
I thought so too :/
No. What makes you think I would?
And a white one nonetheless!Note that the kids in that video messed with everyone except the bass player. She plays a Thunderbird. They knew not to tempt fate.
And a white one nonetheless!
Introducing a slight angle, but making sure the angle is all the same is how to be OCD and mess with people who are OCD at the same time. Way too much thought, experimentation, and time went into knowing that.Facing the other way would make no sense.
It does look nice and compact with everything in a row. They would all fit on a Pedaltrain Nano with the PSU mounted underneath, out of sight and no longer causing distress to the contingent with 'everything lined up and facing the same way OCD'. The cables would be tucked away and the DualLock (aka Devil's Own Velcro) is even reusable.
That's always a good bonus!Yes, and to top it all off, she's hot and fierce looking too!![]()
Any way they can deliver again tomorrow?
Because you didn't have a Thunderbird yet. Now you have been chosen, and so you can see the secret video that's only allowed for the eyes of 'Bird people.Ha! How have I never seen that skit?!
You should give all the relevant info to me or Jeff and we can throw some NY attitude on them.I have no idea, brother! The only way to find out is to go through that whole process again...not up for that!
