God, I wish that was the dumbest thing I ever did!!!
Facing the other way would make no sense.
It does look nice and compact with everything in a row. They would all fit on a Pedaltrain Nano with the PSU mounted underneath, out of sight and no longer causing distress to the contingent with 'everything lined up and facing the same way OCD'. The cables would be tucked away and the DualLock (aka Devil's Own Velcro) is even reusable.

Sweet eq! Those things are amazing. It’s a long, sappy story, but I was heartsick when we decided to close the studio, so I sold off some of the things that reminded me of it and didn’t figure I’d need it again anyway. I do still have 4 API pres that ain’t going anywhere

Just listened to a couple clips of the Vortex for bass. I get it now
Dual Lock is the best. I love that stuff.
My board has no power supply other than my Godlyke Power-All thingy. But then again all I have is the AO and a tuner.
My PSU is mounted under my board. The board I haven’t used in two years
Once you have a tuner and a power supply you have the beginnings of a board. The Vintage Ultra doesn't take batteries, so you really do need a PSU. You have the power, why not a flanger? Well probably lots of reasons for most people, but if it's good enough for George Murray who am I to argue?
I bought the Cioks because there were exotic power requirements for the first preamp I had. Handy that it had 18V for the Diamond compressor too.
Yeah, that makes sense. I never used more than one pedal, not including a tuner.
The first pedal I ever bought was a tuner ... and I still have it. It has been a sorry tale after that however.
The first preamp was an attempt to recapture the magic of my old valve/mosfet hybrid by putting a 12AX7 in front of the PF500, which didn't work and was rendered redundant by the Traynor.
The compressor was to tame the Italia, which it actually did quite well, but that bass is gone now, and it's redundant with Thunderbuckers.
The second preamp (Sansamp) was for backup/recording but it never sounded any good with my basses.
The Corona Chorus was for a little modulation here and there, but chorus makes everything sound out of tune, so bye bye.
It's all a process of getting from the beginning to somewhere else, but I still wish I knew then what I have learned since.

I had a ‘pedalboard’ rig that sat on top of my cab for awhile. Worked great for doubling gigs my GK MB, Grace upright pre, Aggie electric pre, a/b/y box, mini tuner and dirtbox all mounted and pre wired. Worked a treat until the GK went belly up. But it was a great way to do the doubling thing quickly and effectively. My Mesa D800 is just a tad large for that sort of setup

Ummmm...If you ask me... they were taking care of each other in that respect
IIRC my first 3 pedals were dirt pedals, Boss DS-1, Boss ODB-3, Big Muff
Then came a standard Cry Baby Wah
Boss BF-3 Flanger
Bass Hiatus
This year I finally got a pedal tuner.... Dirt pedals are more important, especially when I was younger and only had a hybrid amp.

Ran my errands...got home and there was a package waiting at the door, but not a bass or a preamp tube. The girl got a mountain of stuff she ordered at various points today and I got neither of the two things that were scheduled to be here today. I don’t blame them for playing favorites. I prefer her to me too
