Sweet! Which model and P/Ups?

NR with a single TB Ranch ‘63 or ‘66. Gonna try both and decide. Clips are so tough to go by. They both sound really good to me, but I’d like to decide for myself. It’ll have a 60’s look. Pretty stoked!

Very, very cool. I'm hoping for a REV42 myself. Will know in a week or two if i can swing it.

That'll be so awesome and I'm sure you'll become a big fan of the NR's ergos. Congrats, Mark!

Thanks! I’m not 100% sure about the NR ergos, but I know Carlo knows what he’s doing with his designs, so I doubt there’ll be any issues. I’m pretty tall and have long arms, and a reverse fits me perfectly. I don’t foresee any issues. Super excited!

.... New years was last week..... I hope you work off of the Chinese New Year. Pretty bold statement otherwise.

I typically have my gear freak out times in the winter. Think the rig through, sell a couple things, buy a couple things. The rest of the year I don’t tend to think about it as much. I want to start prototyping a few new cabs and that’ll eat up my dough anyway :)

I wanted my first ‘Bird to be a Gibson. Started out playing Gibson’s as a kid and they’ve always held a place in my heart. But being a one man shop making cabs, I have an affinity with bass makers that are small, one man shops (more or less) who obsess over the details. The big companies have to figure out how to make basses faster and cheaper while still being ‘good enough.’ People like Carlo, Andrew Drake, JIO, etc., aren’t stuck there. They can obsess over making better, cooler and more interesting stuff. And sure, it’ll cost a couple extra bucks. But you can communicate directly with the person who is making the thing and they will care deeply about your needs and wants. I also love that I can have a few conversations...”Hey Carlo! I’m kinda thinking about...” And he’ll listen and help you get what you really want. Try doing that with the bigger companies.

Whenever one starts talking about, that's all for this year, or, i've got all i need..........................
Don't believe it for a second, At least byoung is being honest. No more new ones for the month, well, wait, um, he could just be saying that..................

Haha! This ain’t exactly the best support group if you’re hoping to curb purchasing :)

I may need to rethink that, there are over 3 weeks left and there may be a Ric crop up that I 'need'.

No? Um... I was pretty much GAS free, especially since I'm having way too much fun assembling parts into the P-Bird and Tele-Bird. But, then there was that Sweetwater clip about a pedal that had a guitar with two of the same Alumitones are are in the Zombiecaster, and a trusty Theremin! A trusty Theremin is one of those things I didn't even know I needed until then. So, that's it. No more bass guitars until I have a Theremin. If it's not a trusty one, then I'll need another Theremin until there's one that's trusty.

I’m not saying I won’t seek out more gear, but just probably not basses for quite awhile. Amps and pedals may be a different story. I’ve been listening to how some of the Doom players use texture and that interests me, I just won’t be doing it in a Doom context. So looking around for spacey noise makers :)
