I saw a recent rundown where he was using 15's. Hydrives, I think, but I'm not certain. I sent him a message asking why he made the change from 10's. He said it sounded more like the sound he had in the 70's. I told him it still sounded like him, to which he said "thank you!".I think he does one of those vids every year or so. In the last one I saw he was using 4-10 (bass) and 1-15 (treble) Hartke sealed cabs, paper cone speakers. Same bass and amps and similar outboard gear but less of them. No synth.
Anyone I know who's met him says he's a great guy. I liked his aside about Rotosounds. The last time I used them was during the period he said they'd had problems. Have to give them another shot.
Try Scheisse instead.Public service announcement. I would never use the word "poopie". TB didn’t even allow the word c r a p

Our brothers and sisters in Germany,
will know exactly what you said.
Or caca if you will.
Our clan from Mexico,
will understand very well.
Just don't type poopie
Whatever you do,
the mods will change it,
And it'll come out like poo.
Worthy of a bathroom wall somewhere in the world.

Pretty damn high!I just wanna know how high ya gotta be to think that hat looked cool.
I've read every post in the club. Every one. Talk about not knowing how why...When that thread first started, I kept up for at least 10 pages... I don't know why or how I did, but I did.
Oh goodie! Must have taken a while to change over.
Did a quick clip of the Cataldo NR41 if anyone is interested. A/B’d it with my ‘02 Gibson to hear the difference of the stock Gibson pickups vs the Thunderbucker Ranch ‘63

Doesn't surprise me. I've done a fair amount of business with Sam, but their staff aren't the guys I go to for knowing what's what. I usually go to Corner Music or Gruhn's for that...and Corner has a fair amount of my money, too.Speaking of guilt and shame, I stopped off at Sam Ash to grab a strap and locks for the Cataldo and got this as well...

Now climb off my a$$, people!
Also, saw they had a few new Epi ‘Birds on the wall, but no VP’s. Asked the sales guy and he’d never even heard of em

WOW!!! I LIKE that '63 a LOT!!! I'm anxious to hear the '66!
Even through dinky ipad speakers I could hear the difference.Gotta wait till home to listen with the cans.
That's trade shows in general. In my former industry, the equivalent is called SHOT Show ( Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade). First few times I went I really enjoyed it. Then I had to work the show for many years. The only thing I looked forward to was the after parties, Roberto's Taco Shop, and leaving Las Vegas.NAMM photos are pouring in on TalkBass. I’ve been to NAMM as an endorser maybe 8-10 times...loved it the first time when I was a kid. Been downhill ever since. Pretty much eleventy billion variations on a J bass, but with some ‘exotic’ wizard wood. I just don’t get it. Couple cool things in a crowded, noisy sea of goofiness![]()
