Thunderbird Club

Yesterday morning I was up at 6a.m. to meet the seller for the HT322. But what I failed to realize was all the traffic I was going to hit from Totowa back to Queens. Almost 3 hours worth of stop and go. Just from there. Once I dropped off the cab at home I had to get back out to Jersey. Almost another 2 hours worth. Didn't lose a phone, nor did I get in any excersise. But the end result was worth it. The Berg slays the 810.

You really need a pedalboard...

I'm thinking:

Remember, this is Kat, not just some ordinary bass player.

Oh, I'm plenty ordinary ... and ornery.

That couldn't be Kat. Yeah, the instrument is Katbird red, but the tattoos are butterflies. Kat? Butterflies? Nah. Felines or the Mod's shoes.

You’re suggesting Kat has tattoos of her husbands shoes?!
I’m staying with red keytar

More likely than butterflies. Butterflies suggest that when Kat walks into a bar, the sailors don't immediately walk out. Therefore, butterflies are not likely at all. That's the entire suggestion. Other than that, she's completely pure, and hasn't even been allowed out on a date yet. So probably no tattoos.

My guess would be a butterfly tattoo on her right hip. Very specific, I know.

You obviously all think I'm in the circus or the navy or something, apart from my twin, who knows I am not. No butterflies, no felines, no shoes, dragons, snakes, comical chinese calligraphy, devils or number 13s. No nothing. Not on the Mod either.

Just viewed some of the great Eskimo Brothers, yewtoober clips, and noticed that you tape your plucker? while on the doghouse? Think when I next wrastle with that beast, I'm going to have to use tape again too. That's the thing about doubling, at least with me- unless I become a solid devotee of the D'house, and build up proper calluses, I can only go one or two tunes before the fingertips start'a throbbin'. And that just wrecks me for the next several days, it's all about the prep, and/or just doing what's called for to get through the gig. And if it calls for taping my paws up, then so be it. To the Moon, with the pinkie lifting purists I say!
Nice job there Mark! and the rest of the boys too.

Thanks! It’s just Coach Tape, or cloth sports tape. Right middle finger only unless something really bad happened. More for prevention these days, but if you blister 30 minutes into a 4 hour set slapping upright, it’s really brutal :)

Maybe we should chip in and buy him some Hello Kitty bandaids. ;)

BTW - taping your plucker isn't the hard part. Getting the tape off is the killer!:roflmao:

I’ll take that over bleeding all over the bass witha couple hours to go!

@Larry V, I already have a flanger, which covers any filtery inclinations I might have.

The TC Vortex is three flangers in one.

Flanger = the flanger from the now discontinued SCF

Toneprint = any preset you care to load -- GAD's 'Desert Flower' print which is more funky and filtery -- or you can create one yourself on a computer and save to the pedal.

Tape = 'through flanging' which is pretty much unusable for bass as the signal goes away for 25% of the LFO cycle.
