More crappy bass playing for you @GBassNorth! This has both basses set identically with the neck P/Ups dimed and the bridge P/UPs at 8-9. The tone pots are at 5. All amp settings are pointing north.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the NR has D’addario Medium Chrome Flats and the R has GHS Medium Black Tapewounds.

I tried that trick once* didn't like it, no sir, I didn't like it. Even tried the acetone to remove it afterwards with so-so results.
And I run Innovation Silver Slaps, and the ensuing plastic on plastic deal was slick non-grip clickety clack.
That just ain't what I'd call better living through chemicals.
I'll stick with my old skool non-gmo tape and organic rosin, thank ye' very much.

My bass is strung with wound synthetic E and A and gut D and G. The callus turns into the hook, and grip isn't so much of an issue. Then again, maybe my strings are just softer feeling than Silver Slaps. I thought about trying those, but I bow often enough that they made me a little leery of using them. Guts last forever unless you are Mark, who wears out a set of everything about once a week. He might have more fun than the rest of us, too, but it comes at a cost.

I-5 by the Tacoma Dome, where time goes to die.

One day a couple years ago, I was stuck on 1-5 south just north of the Tacoma Dome, and I could see three separate house fires in different directions from the traffic jam I was stuck in. It was a defining moment. There probably ought to be a song about it.

I have to take an emory board to the fingers to reduce the Velcro
grippy-ness. But then it's back to the nu-skin and glue.

Great amps, but if they ever require some attention- qualified, competent techs are few & far between.

And the ones that are around are as quirky and finicky as the amps themselves.
Not worth the expense and trouble IMHO.
