If it's like my Casady, I'm sure I would like it. It's actually less $ if I order from L&M. I can also return it if I don't like it.

OK. For those of us about as far southeast from you as you can get,what's L&M?

I'd second that. I pride myself on being very open minded when it comes to trying and buying basses but I have yet to find a Hofner Beatle bass that I could bond with. Just don't like the feel or sound of it and I find the controls to be counter intuitive. Others get on with them just fine, like that guy from the '60s with the bowl haircut (Mc who's his face). Just not my cuppa I guess.

Maybe playing it lefty makes a difference?

I know there are those that say the NR isn't really a Thunderbird, but I tried both and the NR both hangs and sits better on my froggy little body,so that's what I got

It is said that the NR is more ergonomic than the reverse. I've owned both and have to agree. Plus they are more rare, so much so people refer to my NRs as "reverse Tbird" Funny and counterintuitive..

Think design philosophy, one is murican the other deutcsh. Unquestionably the Hofner is a higher quality instrument, but then so are many other basses I would prefer a Fender over..

I looked at their site. May I assume the prices are $C and that if I found something I couldn't live w/o that I would need to bend over and grab my ankles for shipping and customs charges?
