Looks like they need to turn on the heat there.

The pickup screws on my Casady kept backing out at gigs until I applied some loctite to the threads. No not really a Thunderbird thing but a bass thing. Things do come loose from time to time . I find it odd that you have never had something come loose on a bass lol. I periodically go over my stage basses and tighten things up. I even keep a little screw driver velcroed in my pedal board for onstage emergencies such as yours.
It’s unlikely that both pickups would be open. If it’s dead quiet, I would look for something shorted to ground. Not as yet. I am guessing it's a bad jack, pot or worst case scenario the pickups are open.
Welcome @johnnyCreep #726 ignore my daft comment, everyone else does![]()

Not a lot better there by the sound of itMust be a bit dafty in there.

Thanks Duke! I agree. I'm not one to keep gear around just cuz it's gear... even if I had all the money in the world (unless there's a sentimental attachment). Instruments are made for making music. If I have something I'm not using... I feel like it's my responsibility to turn it into something I can use, and/or put it in the hands of someone that will use itIt’s an awesome collection, is what that is! I’d rather have a few great pieces than a bunch of ok pieces

It's more than just eye candy too! That thing delivers! Makes the fur on my neck stand at attention!Might not be a big collection but it has quality no kidding! That Gretsch is classy beyond belief, a dr00l icon doesn't cover it
Oh... don't sell yerself short! I'm sure your bass playing is much better than THATMy jokes are about as good as my bass playing.

Hey J... Thought you'd get a kick outa these:i'm almost good at it, maybe.
OK never knew that, Manchester is a place I've always steered well clear of, I find it a very aggressive town. Erics in Liverpool was the venue of choice up north in my day
More awesome stuff!
Gotta love Wilko with his frantic stage appearance and guitar technique!![]()

Zappa produced Grand Funk's "Good Singin', Good Playin'" album, and he plays the guitar solo on this track:
With Claire Grogan in the frame, no wonder she got put out of frame. I did think there was a gold NR but now I've put my glasses on.... ah well, thought it was a good spot
The Mod once was annoyed with me for not recognising Midge Ure in the street in Edinbvrgh.
Midge Ure as I had last seen him on telly:
