Regarding the bridge difference on the black and cherry Bird, the newer Birds have a different neck angle than the 2001-era Birds had. That is why the bridge sits so high on the newer models. My 50th Anniversary Bird's bridge is the same way. The bridge on the BlackBird is pretty much down on the body.

Now take this with a grain of salt, because I haven’t scientifically measured, but I can’t tell a difference in neck angle between the two. Seems to me it’s just the taller saddles on the Blackbird that makes the difference. My Blackbird is from 2000, my Cherry Bird is from 2012. Again, I’m CERTAINLY not disputing your claim, I just can’t find a difference in neck angle.

Assuming the action and relief is the same on both basses the saddles are the difference. If you have a long straightedge you can confirm it.

All i know about a '64 was something to this effect. When i first started hanging out here, i had mentioned playing one from someones private collection.
Pretty much like this one. I was floored, this was back in 2002-04. Something like that. Who knows where that bass is now, was pretty much in great condition with some checking, played like a dream.

Thank you. I always wanted a Tbird, but I was afraid I wouldn’t like it, and they’re expensive. Plus, I never really liked the finish I always found them in. When Gibson released the Cherry finish one, I had to have it.

Dude! I bought that album in the 70's for some big money.
A local record store had it and I kept looking at it until I pulled the trigger. It was something like $30! Which was a lot of money then for an album. That record was sweet! So cool to see it referenced.

The only thing I ever owned that cost more than $15K was the house my wife and I bought. We still don't have it paid off.
